hey bro, loving the lucky labs. found out it it also a method to solve vapor's reception problem.
no harm to try =P

is your discount coupon still usable?
i am interested in getting the spectra wrap.

also would like to ask for the teksure skin, have u seen the sgp skin guard?
how does it compare to it if i may i ask.

many thanks in advance =)

cheers!
I actually do have the SGP Carbon Skin Guard as well but I wanted to try the Teksure Skin out (since its cheaper tongue.gif).

In terms of the carbon fabric I would say its almost similar however the Teksure Skin 3M sticker sticks extremely strongly on my back of my SP and almost damaged it when try to realign. To avoid further damage I am using it without a back SP now.

However I read that ppl are sticking their SGP Skin Guard on their back SP with not much problems but I am yet to try that out myself.

Oh and regarding the discount code sorry but it can only be used once - try googling and your might be lucky to get an unused code. (That's how I gotten mine)

I've put on PowerSupport Screen Protector - Crystal Clear, found it tends to collect dirt at the sides. Some more i am using a fliper type casing.

I actually faced that problem on my back Crystal SP but its not been effecting my front Anti Glare.

am using speck's fitted case for my iphone 4 (currently retailing in epicentre pyramid for RM109). fits snugly and the side has somewhat a nice rubbery feel to it (unlike those hard plastic type ones). back's kinda cool as its made of fabric but the downside is that the fabric has a tendency to fray over time.

as for the other speck cases such as pixelskin, geometric and candyshell, i'm not sure...prolly other forumners using it could give their comments  smile.gif

yea thats the one im talking abt. the one that has cloth back 1. looks nice and quite cheap la consider the other cases. if you dont mind you have pic of it?

Only qualm about the case is the cloth material won't last and will start to peel as it ages.

In the begining, im planning to get the vapor case, but after reading some feedback ive mix feeling especially regarding the signal strength; and end up getting the bumper, which much cheaper and a ready stock. The vapor really have some aesthetic and elegant look tho.
*
Agree. The first time I get to touch a Vapor I was like WOW. Its really beautiful and elegant in your hands, especially the black/red or the graphite/blue. DAMN HOT!
I sold it because my friends often borrow my phone and I'm afraid that they don't know how to take care of it, and I find it a little difficult to tap on the upper icons when I'm using one hand, as the Vapor case makes the phone a little more bulky. Currently switching between a white and orange bumper with a carbon fiber black on the rear, plan to get a blue one soon!

P/S: I love your display picture. LOL.

Your case is fine, bro. I have the same one in black. The bottom part is a little loose as well. All TPU/Silicone cases have this issue. It's even more apparent in cases like the Capdase Soft Jacket. About the screen shield, I damaged mine (put them aside on my bed while installing the case, and squashed them by accident) so I can't really comment. Judging by the looks, I'd say they are the same as any other clear SP.
Do you guys really think that expensive SPs are so much better than the cheap ones?
From experience, I'd say they are just about the same. I've seen SGP, Power Support (clear and matte) SPs and I really do think that they're pretty much the same as the normal 15 ringgit ones. The only difference I've noticed thus far is perhaps the added thickness of the branded ones but heck, paying RM90 for a piece of plastic ain't my thing. Branded or not, they still won't withstand scratches by sand/stone/steel. Btw, the matte SPs naturally gives the screen a 'pixelated' tint, doesn't matter branded or ciplak. Some people hate the effect, some don't even notice it. Personally, I'd buy clear ones any day.
*
It makes a big difference if you hate leaving fingerprints on your phone. In this case, any fingerprint resistant SP will solve the problem. However, some are not precise enough when you apply onto it. Note that any fingerprint resistant SP will cause the display to be a little blurry. In this case, Power Support is the SP which reduce the blurry effect to the minimum. My friend bought another brand of fingerprint resistant SP and it turns out to be more blurry than Power Support. May I know what kind of RM15 ones are they? Some are nice some are terrible. Some are in good quality but some start to cause problems when time goes on. A person should get an excellent SP, whether its fingerprint resistant or crystal clear, instead of keep changing indecent screen protectors which tear off easily in order to keep the screen well protected. In short, choose wisely, and please don't mind to pay a little more to keep your screen well protected. smile.gif

The blurry issue: Perhaps this is true with anti-fingerprint SPs. Though, blurriness is blurriness and even if it is at a bare minimum, if you're the fussy kind (like me), you're not gonna like matte SPs.

About cheaper SPs: I'm not promoting any particular cheap brand so it really doesn't matter what RM15 SP I am referring to. I'm just voicing out my opinion that paying close to a 100 bucks for clear plastic films isn't a good idea.

I've been using cheaper SPs for years on various phones and I've never seen 'peeling' happen before. Most have lasted me years with some exceptions due to negligence on my (or friends of mine) part. The worst I've seen with a clear SP is the rainbow-ish effect but that's hardly an issue IMO.

If anyone can really show me a brand of clear SPs that does not have the rainbow issue when seen under certain lighting conditions, I would like to see it. Til then, my stance on them remains the same.

for me, clear SPs are pretty much the same no matter expensive or cheap. but anti-glare ones, yes. i've wasted my money on cheap anti-glare SPs for my MBP before, they practically unusable. the rainbow effect hurts my eye. then i finally bought antiglare SP from capdase for rm80 i think. yes, the rainbow effect is still there, but much less than the cheap ones. you can still see it, but it doesnt hurt my eye

that's the reason i paid more than rm100 for my powersupport antiglare SP. im also using a ciplak matte back protector, i guess the texture is exactly the same. not sure about the sensitivity lah. but before applying it, i placed the ciplak matte film on my ipod touch screen (crystal protector) n yes, the rainbow effect of the cheap matte film is terrible!

I would love to keep the retina display, but I chose to avoid all fingerprints so I had to sacrifice a bit of the display. The "tear off" part I mentioned doesn't mean it will "peel off". Instead, I was referring to the tear off of the quality. Some screen protectors tend to turn rough and don't feel comfortable. However, there are good ones as well. My friend bought a crystal clear SP for RM20 which has very precise cutting and good quality. My Power Support anti fingerprint resistant SP is 45 bucks. I would not recommend it if the display is really important to the user and if he doesn't mind wiping off the fingerprints all the time. Again, choose wisely according to one's preference. smile.gif

i've got a cheap iPad matt sp from a Forumer here in LYN
and its as good as PowerSupports and the cut is fits even better than PS's SP
no rainbow effect too.

well i haven really seen any good or clear sp yet.
but frankly speaking the clear SP that comes with my old Diamond2 (From HTC) has
no signs of rainbow effect at all !
hope i can find one like that for my iP4.

And one very important thing. The Power Support SP occasionally reduce the sensitivity of the touch controls. Typings and slicing fruits on Fruit Ninja for my case, somehow turns out to be inaccurate. Please note.

I have done a comparison with ps anti glare and an RM15 anti glare sp I bought from LYN. the difference is quite minimal. There are of course the really cheap ass rm10 ones that suck big time but seriously the difference in visual clarity is only 10~15% on the power support. Buy yes there is difference but to fork out RM89 for a sp for that minimal difference to me is very subjective.

Right now I gave in and use a clear type sp that I bought in epicenter in singapore (abt SGD$14.9 for front n back). Buy I sure have to admit... I really really miss my anti glare sp cos the feel is very different. Plus, the fingerprints are driving mr nuts
