Storage never enough once you got hold of it. Go for Wifi + 3G. Worth the money =). Didn't manage to get the 64GB earlier - out of stock, so settle with 32GB Wifi + 3G

Seconded that. I've converted my daughter's video that I took from a video cam 3 years ago and put it in iPad. Really, makes a difference =)

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jul 25 2010, 05:08 PM)
The best results for video conversion newbies on a Mac platform(and I'm very particular about my PQ) is using Handbrake with iPad presets. I get better PQ with my own custom presets I made on Quicktime Pro, the end result is pristine one-to-one PQ from Blu-ray MKVs that matches the iPad's 720p capability, but it will take longer to encode, and the resulting video is saved to Quicktime .mov format. You can encode to MP4 with Quicktime Pro, but the resulting video is still either grainy, with edge artifacting, or with tangible downgrade to PQ. I am cursed with eyes that can see these minute details. sad.gif

So, if you're on a Mac, try that link I've posted. The end result is the second-best option I have encountered, other than my own cooked Quicktime Pro workflow.

@MattJ, if you said you have BIS, that's only for your BlackBerry. You paid RM30 for that every month. So, your commitment is RM118 or RM148? I'm using BB too. But currently what I did, I have a prepaid - cut the SIM DIY and tried the weekly Broadband RM20 per week. So far everything runs well. Since Celcom don't have any MicroSIM or a specific package for iPad, I'll try to get a Broadband for my iPad. It's working now, it should work after I convert it to Postpaid Broadband - it's RM98 only FUP 5GB thumbup.gif

Check-out my previous post for screen shot icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(MattJ @ Jul 27 2010, 04:35 PM)
Tink,

So basically it can be done with Maxis, i.e. get another sim for same number but use for data only (maybe subscribe at additional $ as what happened in Singapore with Singtel and Starhub). Why Celcom cannot do the same? This is what I'm asking for, since I already have my Unlimited 3G with them. If this is the case, might as well use my Maxis line (prepaid with free data taken with Iphone 3Gs) for use with my ipad, just need to cut it into microsim. If this does not work, what the heck, will get Digi or port either my Celcom or Maxis number to Digi. Why these telcos make my life so difficult.......... rclxub.gif

@aRRrgghh,
Er.. well I guess that's right too but let's just say U need to be close enough to the "whom" for them to trust U with the information.  In any case, my guess is that the iPhone 4 will be released by both DiGi & Maxis some time in September.  Whether it's early, mid or late September, it's hard to tell.

@ancnw, I opened Apps Store from my iPad and search Flipboard. The indicator showed "Installed" and they have the version description there.

QUOTE(ancnw @ Jul 29 2010, 11:22 AM)

You can top-up using other Celcom's number / mobile - Postpaid or Prepaid. For example via SMS, type REC <16 Digit Serial Number> <mobile number that you want to top-up> send to 2888. Hope this will help.

Btw, you have cut your SIM for your iPad eh? thumbup.gif

Yes Sir, got mine activated too. Although experience some hiccups i.e. content not available few times. But after few retries, it works. Looks like all status updates much more interesting. Especially the photos that posted by friends thumbup.gif . Highly recommended.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jul 31 2010, 01:31 PM)
A markup of 100 to 200 is fair. I will not mind paying if I do not want to wait.

By the way, my flipboard account activated today. Did not realize how good it was until I felt the experience reading my tweeters feed and facebook entries. I would be willing to pay for it . A highly recommended app all iPad users should try. Grab it while it is still free.

Frens, how to segregate between iPhone apps and iPad apps in iTunes? I'm using my same account/laptop to sync but some of the iPhone apps are not be able to upload in my iPhone but OK in iPad.

Furthermore, I have to deal with the error messages everytime I sync with iPhone as iPad apps are unable to install. Thank you in advance

Not only Celcom, Maxis has it too. I guess why they have this is to cater better 3G coverage in rural areas. You can look at the list of places that Celcom has nod.gif

Check out it HERE

QUOTE(CapKapak @ Aug 4 2010, 05:12 PM)
Yes you are right, I admit I made a mistake with the 900Mhz iPad frequency. I misread somewhere that there was actually two SKU's for the iPads but apparently it has not been the case. It seems to be the same for all iPads. But I stand correct on the WCDMA-900 issue that Celcom apparently uses at some areas.

Why so "ma fan" you can easily cut yourself with a pair of sharp scissors. Just make sure you don't trim off any of the vertical lhs n rhs gold edges. You can safely trim off the top and bottom gold edges up to 0.5 mm without any problems. So far I have cut 5 sim cards for my friends. Sometimes I wonder why people so scared to cut is such a simple task, an old man like me can even do it

Seems that I can't open the Zagg site. Too many people getting their stuff? Btw, I realised that when charging, it is best to turn ON the Flight Mode - OFF the Data Connection & Wifi as it will charged faster. Mine is 32GB, Wifi + 3G.
