They are pre-auth transactions. If the transaction really went thru, my account might just be hacked. Hmmm..at the moment, I've deleted my cc details on iTunes to be on the safe side.

My name is Stacey and I am an advisor with the iTunes Store Customer Support Team. I would first like to apologize to you for the delay in this response. Due to the exciting new releases being offered by Apple our volume has increased. I assure you that I will do all that I can to ensure that you receive the highest level of service possible.

I understand that you created an iTunes Store account recently and are concerned about some $1 charges on your billing information when you've only purchased free apps. I can appreciate your concern in this matter and I'm sure that you are eager to have this resolved. I'm happy to help.

When you create an account, or anytime you update or edit your billing information, the iTunes Store will place an authorization hold on your credit card to verify your account information. You might see this authorization request on your online statement. This is not an actual charge, it is simply a test to confirm that your credit card account is active and has credit available to accommodate transactions.

Authorization requests are automatically removed from your account by your financial institution. The amount of time it takes to remove authorization requests varies by financial institution. If you have any questions about the way your financial institution handles authorization requests, please contact their customer service department.

To review the actual charges on your account, here are easy steps to view your Purchase History:

1) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes(9.2). It can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple website at:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.

2) Click this link to launch iTunes and view the Sign In dialog:

http://phobos.apple.com/accountSummary/

3) Enter your iTunes Store account name and password.

4) Click the Account Info button to proceed.

5) On the Account Info screen, click the Purchase History button.

Your Purchase History will display your most recent purchases first. To view details of any purchase, click the arrow to the left of the order date.

I trust that this information has helped to resolve the issue Adam. Should you require anything further, please don't hesitate to respond to this email. I have flagged it as a high priority to ensure that you receive a speedy response  Thank you for being an iTunes Store customer and have an amazing day.

Best Wishes

Stacey

Anyone using the normal sim card from Maxis Wireless Broadband service on their iPad 3G by trimming it down to micro sim?

I initially wanted to get Maxis' micro sim but it is capped at 3GB per month for RM88. The wireless broadband package seems more worthwhile.

Technically, would the sim card (Maxis Wireless Broadband) work on iPad 3G when trimmed down? I was told by Maxis customer officer that it won't work?

Here is the LINK

If anyone can provide the APN setting too, I will appreciate it.

Thanks.

Thank you N0eL for the confirmation and the APN settings!

Btw, did you have to pay the RM100 activation fee upfront? Or can it be waived?

I've confirmed with Maxis that users are allowed to choose between normal sim or micro sim under the wireless broadband packages. Existing users can exchange their sims for micro sims with a replacement fee of RM25.

I signed up when they had the promo around march.. Free modem etc etc.. paid rm 150 upfront if not mistaken.

Got the regular sim and the usb modem. I cut to micro size myself and just slot into the ipad.

Not using maxis issue micro sim

just a question, has anyone bought keynote and pages??? how different is it??
coz i want to buy ipad to do my work on the go, i sit in train to clayton, my mbp screen shaking from its body, mayb im alittle pesimistic, but i scare it patah lol...

so i now need to get one, and since im back in malaysia for now, thinking of gettin 1 from sg.

BUT, main purpose is to use the pages and keynote. so i need to know how different is it?? as in how many functions did they potong??? from the original one in macos
*
Most of the basic functions are covered. Charts, tables, styles and shapes. But if u want stuffs like macro, transfer to your desktop/laptop.

Its well equipped for your usual uni thesis research paper and formal office documents.

Keynote.. If u follow all of steve jobbs presentation, u'll get the idea what it can do. It's usable for use in international launches, it's good enough for students

Guys,

Anyone here owns both Ipad and Iphone 4g?

Is it still worth getting i4 when ur 3g ipad is on hand?

Seems unnecessary to get the phone as it's almost identical products other than the gyro function.

The software modification is the first release for Apple's latest handset hardware, the iPhone 4. Some users reported that the jailbreak managed to break FaceTime and MMS functionality on the device.

Comex, via twitter, said that he was able to reproduce the issues, and is working on a fix. The latest jailbreak does not work with iPads running iOS 3.2.1.
