If really want it, import Toshiba R705 from BestBuy, its US$800 with i3 330M, just no express slot and docking port... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 20 2010, 06:10 PM |

Converting is usually using CPU, except you are using the one that capable using GPU like Nvidia Badaboom....
Speed wise, GPU wins, but need specific apps... Added on July 20, 2010, 6:13 pm QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jul 20 2010, 06:11 PM) Well, there are i5 and i7 variants which should be able to handle most normal tasks without a problem~ and price won't be cheap as well...Haha, definitely not gamers, probably girls only will buy ba because of the design? But still they might still fell for Vaios since i7 usually comes with SSD as well... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 20 2010, 06:13 PM |

Don't think Intel has something like that....
For the similar price, might as well take HP DV3, 13'' with i7 720QM.... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 20 2010, 06:22 PM |

QUOTE(cerresky @ Aug 1 2010, 09:04 AM) Guys, need some opinion. Planning to buy Sony Vaio Z, VPCZ115GG ( the one with HDD 500GB ) and will upgrade to, say Intel X25-M SSD. Do you think it is possible to do so and more worthwhile compared to VPCZ116GG ( with 128GB SSD )? VPCZ116GG is a lot more expensive and I think 128GB is kinda insufficient. The thing about VPCZ116GG is it still retain the optical drive since it using custom SSD that is small enough in its intended place, which you still can consider to swap the optical drive with hdd caddy to put in another hdd or ssd, while for VPCZ115GG, you are using the optical drive space for the harddrive, |
