If really want it, import Toshiba R705 from BestBuy, its US$800 with i3 330M, just no express slot and docking port...

Converting is usually using CPU, except you are using the one that capable using GPU like Nvidia Badaboom....
Speed wise, GPU wins, but need specific apps...

since i7 usually comes with SSD as well...

That's why whenever the ati or nvidia says their GPU can do video converting faster I become confuse cos got so many GPU, 5470/310M up to 5650/335M GT and above. Wondering how they compare to intel?

Don't think Intel has something like that....
For the similar price, might as well take HP DV3, 13'' with i7 720QM....

The old DV 3 was very very hot (in terms of temperature)... wonder is there a change in the cooling system hmm.gif
The R700 boast of a specialized cooling system, dunno effective or not also haha laugh.gif
