Well, there are i5 and i7 variants which should be able to handle most normal tasks without a problem~

Converting is usually using CPU, except you are using the one that capable using GPU like Nvidia Badaboom....
Speed wise, GPU wins, but need specific apps...

That's why whenever the ati or nvidia says their GPU can do video converting faster I become confuse cos got so many GPU, 5470/310M up to 5650/335M GT and above. Wondering how they compare to intel?

Don't think Intel has something like that....
For the similar price, might as well take HP DV3, 13'' with i7 720QM....

The old DV 3 was very very hot (in terms of temperature)... wonder is there a change in the cooling system
The R700 boast of a specialized cooling system, dunno effective or not also haha
