u need flash [b]in order to use higher shutter speed to freeze subject's movement

of cos 55-200 @ 200mm will not beat 70-200 VR in terms of sharpness
but IMO its waaaay sharper than all-in-1 zoom lenses, even sharper than Nikkor 18-200
grammar check, is u lend ppl, ppl borrow frm u, Malaysians common mistake 

its definitely 1 of d sharpest lens at dat price range d
depends, for cheapo AFS lenses such as 18-55 definitely slower than body motor AF lenses
but for those high end AFS lenses such as 70-200 VR then faster

means 200mm is as sharp as using at 55mm, proved dat ppl say it is not sharp at 200 is not true
but u can c dat d bokeh is way much nicer n smoother at 200mm

maybe, coz around 1/30-1/80
200mm maybe DOF to shallow? for d flower

i nvr tried 18-105 b4, but IMO 55-200 sharper than 18-55

Okay.... heres the story. Everytime I take my trusty Nikon D5000 go out do photoshoots in crowded areas such as shopping malls exhibitions and more, those people would just stare at me with an unpleasing look. Is it wrong for a 15 year old to have a dslr?? This matter has been irritating me alot and causes alot of discomfort to me until I have trauma bringing my camera out already   
Any of you all here are teens? Seriously, those people who are staring at me looks with the *Wah!! 15 year old hold big and expensive camera already??* or the *15 year old richfag. Hmmpph must have no skill one. What a show off*.
I agree that I have poor skills but Im learning it day by day. Now I feel like I have sins just for pursuing my interest 

type so small, old ppl like me having trouble reading d lol..

if i were you, i trauma to bring it to school not because of that, but because scared kena stolen or rosak by other students.

prove it to them that you are not just a rich kid with a camera, show them you can achieve great photos then they'll respect you.

just ingore them. do what ever u like. they just jealous or impressed with such young photog.
i'm also fifteen btw.

but the problem is their face expressions when im walking around to search for subjects. Those who passby me all give the same eerie expression to me 

yeah everytime i bring my camera to school, peoples just keep on 'menganjing' me.

I just ignore and continue my work.

Lolz... if I happen to bring it to school, I think chaos will strike. All of my classmates are like parasites, sticks to you and trying to get a hold of the camera. Maybe camera sendiri also hancur .

Sorry if its off topic.... but any of you know how to overcome it? Mayb like some training?

If i shoot those eerie looks, I think my camera and me will end up on the ground already 

you're the school's photographer, if you don't bring your dslr then what you gonna shoot with?

lol,  ur school teacher's day celebration is still not done yet? i use my teacher's 1Ds Mark III + 24-70 f2.8 + 580EXII in the celebration. Makin byk org envy. haha

just tell them la you're more comfortable using your own, you're used to nikon's rather than sony.

if you still feel uncomfortable or get anymore comments then bring it up to the discipline teacher or your photography teacher lor. they're there for a reason too.
