I need some advice what expected salary that i can get.
I have degree in comp science majoring in MIS with first class degree, graduated in oct 2010.
But, now i am working as a programmer using diploma cert since 2006, and now my salary RM2500 (basic + allowances).
Also , i am a part-time master comp science student.
So, what should i expect for salary when i want apply new job using my bachelor cert? Or, should i finish my master then i apply new job using my master cert?

All of your suggestion highly appreciated.

p/s : Stressful with my current salary and want to gain new experience and knowledge.

Business degree very hard to find job if you're a foreigner.

If you graduated in IT and can program very well, there are a lot of jobs available.

mind to explain more why a foreigner with business degree is difficult to secure a job? Communication gap?

Because it's assumed that a foreigner may not be familiar with how businesses are run in MY, no?

Added on December 8, 2011, 7:33 pmBtw there are a lot of local business grads around. Why would I want to hire a foreigner that requires extra paperwork and costs?

give me a good reason why
1) i need to pay you HIGH since you are a fresh grad with no proven track record
2) i need to make extra paperwork, visits to immigration to apply for your work permit

My sis who just started her job in a leading pharma company (not a fresh grad. having 1-2 yrs working experience in marketing in Old Town, and another year or so in Roots events company) gets RM 2,700. However, in pharma line, the pay is much better. You get petrol, hp allowance, plus commissions, all totaling another 2-4K.

Best thing is, now there's the new upcoming Cosway pharmacy. I heard it would go down well for fresh grad pharmacists as you don't have to be attached to any local practice to do housemanship. If you work in the shop, you get paid RM 5K/monthly. No fine print, no questions asked. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

Anyway, a friend of mine is doing this and looking for fresh graduate pharmacists in malaysia to undertake the job of opening a new Cosway pharmacy outlet in KL. Interested candidates please contact me.

NOTE: I don't do MLMs and don't intend to. If you're interested, i'm merely putting you in touch with my friend. I won't be speaking to you. One thing I realised and learn in life, "Keep an open mind". You can listen and find out. If not interested, move on...

thanks! smile.gif

If possible, to people who have not started their study. Never choose Hospitality. Degree holder with 1 year experience got Rm 1350 offer only. Really will waste your parent hard earn $$$ and your precious moment in life.

Join a firm as fresh grad
1st month : RM2,450
Revise after 4mths: RM2,700
Obtain professional qualification: RM2,850
Then i blindly accepted an offer from Singapore after a year
SGD: 2,600

Now, I am wondering, did I just downgraded myself in terms of dollar to dollar.... =.='''

Money wise no. Pride wise yes. Cause thats unskilled labour salary. Singapore treat Malaysian like Indo workers.
