Just for curiosity's sake, would the U2211 and U2311 monitor stand allow the monitor to be used in portrait mode?

...but it's way out of our price range
It's probably going to cost 3* the price of the U2410. |

QUOTE(gto87 @ Aug 17 2010, 04:30 PM) Is it wise to change from s2409w to the dell 23" ips panel considering that I love to play FPS and Racing games a lot plus I watch alot of Full HD movies. I haven't tried the U2311 before, but the 6ms GTG for the Dell U2410 doesn't have any noticeable ghosting to me.The reason I asked is because, I'm worried that the 8ms response time gonna effect my viewing. Ghosting sucks but since I'm moving from 5ms to 8 ms, will I really notice the difference? I read a lot reviews, some say they notice the difference but the other were saying the exact opposite. |

QUOTE(StereophileDream @ Sep 8 2010, 04:01 PM) Games - U2711 better in all games except those that can utilize two individual monitors eg. Supreme Commander. I don't think you'd want to play with bezels sitting on your crosshair in a fps...Then again, you could buy 3 U2311s instead of a U2711 (3 U2311s are similar price) to alleviate such issues and combo with nv surround or ati eyefinity... |

If the U2410 is Rev 01 then go for that, if it's Rev 00 go with the U2311H.
@DarkNite: No IPS with LED backlit readily available right now IIRC. This post has been edited by yimingwuzere: Sep 17 2010, 02:25 PM |

@ktek: thanks for the clarification on the LED backlit IPS panels. Wasn't aware LG actually had monitors with LED backlight in the market though.
@DarkNite: For Photoshop only, PVA is good enough. Just don't try to play games on it, there's noticeable ghosting on them. |

QUOTE(karhoe @ Sep 20 2010, 10:58 PM) I called and mine is due to reach on Sept 24, I guess your would be the newer batch, since there are so many issues with the older batch, maybe I'm not that lucky after all to get an older batch unit This is for the dudes who want bigger than 24", and in 16:10 res, and also eyefinity. I honestly doubt anyone would want such a screen for single screen gaming considering 3 U2410s cost the same price.Added on September 20, 2010, 10:59 pm Who on earth needs to run at such high resolution? Might as well get 3 24inches and run Eyefinity |
