Maybe you can try to select the signal source to HDMI. Try power on the monitor first after PS3.

Hey guys, the U2311H is only RM649 at Dell website now, got additional RM60 cash voucher !

Also I spotted P2311H at RM669, featuring LED and TN panel, so which should I get?

U2311H - IPS, normal backlight or
P2311H - TN, LED backlight

Dell ST2321L , there are seller here selling bargain for this model. If you are outstation, not choosy or brand specific, choose Dell. TN panel, LED backlight.

U2311H reach today. But sadly 1 dead pixel. Not yet contact Dell Support. Any monitor testing software to recommend? The bleeding on the left corner are visible but not over board.

Look like U3011 available at Dell US at 1499usd. Apple Cinema Display 27" at 999usd. I reckon Samsung don't make IPS monitor? Others IPS properly available from HP, NEC, Eizo and may be LG?

WTF, that unlucky !
Gavin say contact them within 7 days and you will get a replacement

Yeah, really "unlucky". I wonders if a new one of refurbish one will be given. Still IPS is vibrant. Like the monitor stand. It is higher than others.

Added on September 17, 2010, 6:55 pmNot sure if this has been posted. LG IPS LED backlight http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/09/lg-does...36v-and-ips231/

Q What pixel defects are covered?
A Dell’s Premium Panel Guarantee applies to UltraSharp, Professional and Alienware monitors with bright pixel defects only. The Premium Panel Guarantee does not cover monitors with dark/ black type of dead pixels.
dell say one

QUOTE(Racerx @ Sep 19 2010, 10:26 PM)
wth, then they shouldn't say 'zero' dead pixel guarantee...

Manage to contact Dell Support, they shipping a replacement tomorrow.
It is smooth conversation.
No question asked about the bright pixel defects, properly due to new purchase?

Dell shipped an April refurbished in exchange of July unit next business day. Pretty amazing. This refurbish unit is okay. I wondering, if the pending are affected by collective area delivery. Just pure speculation.

Definately worth to get Dell monitor. They replace 2 times without any strange Q and A nor delay. But then again, U2311H are having issues? Really worth getting Dell.

LED does offer lower energy consumption. It depends, have you look into the display unit? About LED hurting eyes, I am not sure. I reckon glossy screen do may eyes tired.
