QUOTE(captvizcenzo @ May 23 2010, 03:04 AM) that is for Small and Medium Business rite? on the checkout page, what shud be keyed in the 'invoice title'? Yes, Small & Medium Business only. I just test it out, you are right. The coupon is not valid in Home & Home Office. In fact you will notice there is no coupon below for U2311H in Home & Home Office Get additional RM100 instant cash redemption with R1?BTS8LP2FKCX ^Coupon conditions apply. Expires on 5/27/2010 Must be some sort of webpage issue, U2311H seeker out there becareful For invoice title, I used to just key in my name. Key in whatever you think it should be BTW, there should be no problem doing purchase in Home or Business section, Dell just want the business This post has been edited by Jern Tan: May 23 2010, 11:31 AM |

Hi joeylny,
The previous discount ended 27th May. Saw one of the LYN forumer selling Dell UltraSharp™ 2209WA (22", 1680 X 1050, IPS panel, 5ms) for RM529 with 2 years warranty, not sure it's the same type of warranty as Dell offering premium panel warranty. Hi All, Received U2311H and start using it over the long weekend Test IPS vs. TN different in a dumb way Watch Iron Man 2 full HD, Iron Man flying around flawlessly, may be totally attracted by Gwyneth & Scarlett, see no ghost (8ms really matter?) IMHO I pay for the difference that I can see, no regret But if you ask me where does U2311H stands among IPS panel, I don't know as it require more than just side by side comparison. Things can look good or bad on paper (spec), but most importantly can our eye see it? This post has been edited by Jern Tan: May 31 2010, 02:22 AM |

QUOTE(wilsoncvt @ Jun 1 2010, 04:10 PM) Finally, a full review of the Dell U2311H. Hi wilsoncvt, Thanks for sharing http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?sub...l&id=1275291737 Any U2311H owner try out the calibrated setting in review? Or each monitor has different characteristic, one calibration value doesn't serve all? Any shop around PJ area provide monitor calibration service at reasonable price (says < RM100, not sure the market price, need advice)? Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(everling @ Jun 6 2010, 03:03 PM) A Dell U2311H perhaps? Although a 23", it is cheaper than your budget, an IPS monitor, and can warranty on a single bad pixel. Agree... worth for $ buy I guess Anyone in this forum happen to see a review comparing between CCFL IPS vs. LED backlit TN? Please share. Thanks |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jun 6 2010, 05:01 PM) seriously no point.... end of the day its still IPS vs TN...and in terms of pic quality, color reproduction and viewing angle...TN will still get spanked by IPS no matter wat backlit theyre using. Thanks for the info, but a data set that shows how hard IPS spanked TN worth a thousand words. A convincing review as a reference will be nice Besides picture quality, any different between CCFL vs. LED backlit long term reliability or picture quality sustainability? |

QUOTE(wilsoncvt @ Jun 8 2010, 03:43 PM) Just to share with those looking to buy a Dell IPS, I went ahead and chose the 2209WA over the new U lineup after doing lots of research. RM495 for a IPS panel is definately cheap Under normal circumstances I would have gone for the U2211H according to my budget. The U2311H should've been the obvious choice when Dell offered the additional RM100 rebate last month but I missed it ...which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I managed to get a 2209WA at only RM495 which is IMO a steal. Those on a budget (who isn't?) and who wants a nice IPS can check out the seller here : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1436300 I can definitely vouch for him. It really is a bargain and it's too good not to be shared. One reason I can think of why people are not snapping this up is because the seller is new and untested on LYN forums. This is the best review on the 2209WA I have found: http://www.erodov.com/forums/dell-ultrasha...048-page10.html -- Oh and on the monitor itself ...it's beautiful 2209WA RM495 2-Year Advanced Exchange Service. Does the seller provide premium panel guarantee same as Dell? 1680 X 1050 (16:10) No Display Port (DP) U2311H RM649 (with RM100 discount coupon) 3-Year Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Guarantee 1920 x 1080 (16:9) Display Port (DP) This post has been edited by Jern Tan: Jun 8 2010, 04:12 PM |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Jun 8 2010, 05:13 PM) Faulty observation/ inaccurate knowledge... Agree with BeastX. Not sure calculation below is correct. Feel free to correct it. I took viewable size (inch) divide by diagonal resolution times 25.4 (1 inch = 25.4mm). The only two that comes really close is U2311H & U2410. But if U2311H use panel from U2410, it will product a weird 23.3 inch with same 1920x1080 resolution. While it's true panel maker cut a big piece of glass to make different size panels. You can tell that a 24" (1920x1200) panel has likely no relation to the 23" inches out there (at least with the 1920x1080 IPS Dell U2311H or TN). One telling sign is the dot-pitch pitch of the panel used, if these panels are cut from the same glass they would have the same dot-pitch. Same dot-pitch/Same panel technology....and there's a possibility of it being cut from the same glass. Think of it this way... resolution is fixed. ..... (be it 1920x1200, 1920x1080,1600x1200, 2560x1600 etc...etc)... Whatever panel (with a particular dot-pitch) will be cut to fit those standard resolution. Different (big) glass panel, different dot-pitch, different screen size. This post has been edited by Jern Tan: Jun 8 2010, 05:03 PM |

QUOTE(mcchin @ Jun 8 2010, 06:10 PM) yes Bro, just wish to convey accurate information in the forum. No slam, no offense, peace! i did after beastx SLAMMEDD me!! that i check the pixel pitch from dell website if it is to be true, there seems to be no two different sized panel that uses the same dot pitch but still, just thought of something well, dell is famous for being cheaper with the same performance is due to they have limited design department and most of the parts is tendered in bulk might as well the same is with LCD panels they might as well tender a quota of panels at a certain time instead of requesting of production to their specifications Dell being cheaper has to do with it's business model & strategy that we might not have the insight |
