I realised that I suffered from Sleep Apnea many years ago from my partners. I have not done anything about it until recently. I went to see a specialist at KPJ and did 2 sleeping test and as a result I found out that it is true. My sleep apnea also cause my high blood pressure. This is because of the lack of oxygen in one's blood especially during at night when one stops breathing. I have heard people dying in their sleep.
To those who say this is due to obesity, it is not the only reason, stop giving irresponsible advice if you are not familiar with this condition. Obesity is one of it but I don't think I am overweight. I trained at the gym more than most of you do any exercise.
I am still contemplating to get the machine. I am looking at Resmed and Phillips. The latter is cheaper but not so established like Resmed. The total costs has come down a lot. It is about RM5k for a good one and the machine is quite small.
You can claim EPF from account 2 to get this and also when you are doing your tax returns you can also deduct this (I think it's up to RM3K). Anyone wants genuine advice can contact me.
Hi Sundancekid, may I know how much did it cost you for the sleeping test? Does insurance plan normally covers this? I am thinking to go for one as I have always been tired even after getting enough sleep but recently just got worse, together with my bruxism.
