QUOTE(Wanderlust_08 @ May 12 2010, 06:06 AM) LOL at this thread. If you read the chinese history in great depths you'll realise Manchurians were great leaders, for 3 consecutive generations ( kang xi, yong zheng, qian loong) First, Chinese does not hate Manchurian. Manchurian is included in the list as one of the 56 ethnics group of PRC which makes them Chinese. I dunno where you get the idea that Chinese hate Manchurian, probably from Wong Fei Hung movies. Those were the days when the Manchu was a corrupted government. They hate the corrupted Manchu goverment not the Manchu people. Second, Mandarin is not Manchu language. It is Northern China dialect but was chosen as an official language among other dialects because the capital of China back then and until now is in Beijing. FYI "Bei" means North and "Jing" means city which literally means Northern City. The Manchurian adopted the Han Chinese custom and culture when they invaded and takes over the throne. Hope that gives you some ideas and please go to wikipedia for further readings. Some of you here mention that Shi Huang Di from Qin Dynasty speaks Mandarin. Thats wrong, he created Chinese characters and not Mandarin language. Peace and harmony were achieved throughout those centuries. The problem lies with the chinese who discriminated ethical groups a.k.a. the Manchu government as they 'stole' their motherland. And FYI, the origin of triads dates back to that era (all those TianDiHui...etc) |
