they said most likely will know the result by next week.. after that i have to do a medical checkup.. there is few questions i want to ask about medical checkup.. can anyone help me.. thanks!

1. What kind of test they will do? is it same for all EP application?

2. how long will the medical checkup be ready? do you guys know any hospital or clinics which can do it fast? (Reason is I might be staying SG till my medical report is out)

3. do we have to pay for it? if yes, how much?

4. After i take my medical report, what should I do? To MOM for them to get my fingerprint?

well, alot of singaporeans used to be malaysians, so i think malaysians are quite spared... our style & culture is also very similar so its easy for malaysians & singaporeans to blend together...

disagree. even with 1.8k one can still live in SG n save up easily. its all up to a person lifestyle n spending habit.

yeah, when i first work and still under probation, i cannot claim any OT or allowance and my salary is only 1.6k. But i manage to save 800 per month. i spend 800 per month on food + transport only.

Has anyone ever experience one company with 2 or more different sets of travel policies on Business & Economy Classes?

My company in the States has travel policies depending on the hours regardless of the designations to fly on Business Class. In Singapore, we are quite hybrid in the sense that it is biased to the designations and hours. Now, to my utter surprise, the company policy in India forbids ANYONE to fly business class regardless of hours!!

Was having this conversation with one of our colleagues from the States, and he said, this type of policy is discriminatory in nature and cannot be enforced in the States. Unfortunately, India HR policy is not under the purview of the States, and the company gets away from this to cut costs.
