Recently my mom went for checkup at Tun Hussein Onn Hospital. The quote is RM3.5 each eye (normal lens). Long queue to see the doc but surgery can be done on the doc's surgery day (once a week, not so long queue).

The thing is, I have a relative who did it at Pantai Hospital, and the bill was exactly RM3k. I thought Pantai is private and THONEH is semi-private, so why is THONEH more expensive? Quality-wise, both should be on par, yes?

you are having cataract? in both eyes?
say.... mind telling us how old are you? and your occupation?

For cataract surgery (eg; ECCE, SICS, PHACO), one need not go abroad, govt. hospitals have such procedure~....

although.... if you are.... you can try India, foreigners from US and European countries are coming in for various treatments here in India (eg; Medical Tourism is a booming business) not to mention direct flights via AirAsia are available.

If you are what?

What I meant was;

If he is - going abroad.

If he is what? Having cataracts? No offense... I'm just trying to find out all options... here it is about RM3k each eye with normal CZ lens. How about India? Lens + surgery + airfare.
