Coolandy, I agreed with aeiou228 that those aroma makers will never turn up as they will pay even more than the prize in case of losing. In order to complete your experiment with valid outcome, you may consider to carry out the experiment by yourself or engaging a team with the witnesses from third/neutral parties, buying those aromas in the market especially one that maker sounds loudest with the fund you contributed. I suggest your design of experiment could divide into few groups of samples, each group carries samples with similar condition, the objective is to test its Repeatability, which will make result more accurate and convincing. Each group you must locate at same area in the same or different BH, each group you can enter into BH in different timing perhaps every subsequent month.
Group1 NP1. - No aroma NP2. - aroma A NP3. - aroma B NP4. - aroma C NP5. - aroma D...
Group 2 NP1. - No aroma NP2. - aroma A NP3. - aroma B NP4. - aroma C NP5. - aroma D...
And so on
Your great effort will be beneficial to this industry.

QUOTE(mois @ Dec 28 2010, 10:32 AM) guys, how do u people maintain your chicken coop humidifier? i got a broken unit. Dont know how to repair it. Mois, Try to open up the cover and replace the capacitor @ 6µf, the black colour one. single phase motor will need to work with capacitor. This post has been edited by philipbn: Dec 28 2010, 06:28 PM

In our switch board, ELCB (Earth leadkage circuit breaker) is to protect current leakage, and MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) is to protect from current overload you can change to higer capacity(6A,10A,15A,20A.....) if you need it to carry higer current. thus overload will trip MCB and leakage will trip ELCB.
There is a build-in relay inside the timer, if the relay capacity is 5A and your humidifer current consumption is 2A, you should not connect more than 2 humidifiers (2A+2A=4A) in Direct connection. If you want to use one timer to control all humidifiers, you can actually use a contactor, which means your timer will only supply current to the contactor to switch on and off (<0.5A), but your contactor will carry the current to supply over all your humidifers. If you have 10units of humidifiers in gang, total comsumption will be 10x2A=20A, then 25A contactor will do, 5A extra capacity as buffer for starting surge. 25A contator may not be more expensive than you get another Hager timer.
