Hello everybody,
I got 2 pieces of land at Johor and I have some question about swiftlet business:
1) What is average output (in kg) per month for 3 storey building? 2) One of the land is near to someone house. I heard that we can't build near house. Is it true? 3) Both lands now is on palm oil plantation. So, is it suitable to setup the swiftlet building at the same land?

QUOTE(West Wing @ Oct 31 2011, 05:54 PM) Sad thing is that where there are Oil palm, there are rats and where there are rats, there are OWLs and OWLS spell trouble for BH. Remember, OWLS are good for oil palm estate and if only they remain only in catching Rats and snakes but swiftlets seem to be a more easier meals for OWLs when darkness fall. So, making bird house at palm oil plantation is not a wise decision? By the way, how to check whether the place got swiftlet or not? Saw at youtube about this but how much the device usually cost? the portable one..

thanks for your helpful view.. if the land is near to river, it should be better right?
by the way, to mix palm oil plantation with birdhouse on a single land, how much clearance should be provided around the birdhouse?
