QUOTE(cassplayer @ May 18 2010, 03:41 PM) Yeah that was what I wanted lol. So I'm thinking around F8, ND4, ISO 100, 3 second shutter haha..then u need to rephrase... u want to take sunset and the beach together where the waves hit the shoreline...to create the dramatic effect.. cause IMO..if just take the sun without the beach..1/10 or 2 sec also no diff... my bad...

QUOTE(electron @ May 18 2010, 03:50 PM) dunno if you guys saw this but someone is selling danbo at the garage sale area then can do danbo shots THANKS FOR INFO Added on May 18, 2010, 3:53 pmQUOTE(lwliam @ May 18 2010, 03:52 PM) why not just fully utilize the kit lens 1st before buying this buying that? you dont even know what use is an ND is for, and yet you still want to buy it, then when photos come out all dark and underexposed, complain why cannot get what i see from those nice nice pic one.. be it 50mm or kit lens (which ALSO has 50mm range) its gonna work great if you know how to utilize it. all there is are settings. if u want brighter shots, prop it on a tripod and put a longer shutter, dont even have to use f/1.8 from the 50mm for portrait, stand further a bit use 70mm, and there u go, bokeh! Added on May 18, 2010, 3:55 pmaiyo...he not selling la..just looking for buyers..then order together... This post has been edited by zstan: May 18 2010, 03:55 PM

QUOTE(lwliam @ May 18 2010, 05:40 PM) i bought my CPL together when i 1st bought my 1st dSLR.. the only lens i have filter on is my 24-70, with the huge 82mm thread, so big that its prone to get fingerprints... and another is my 35-70, the lens' so sharp that the little bit of degradation in IQ doesnt effect the IQ much... ur CPL for which lens? B & W? Added on May 18, 2010, 5:44 pmQUOTE(cassplayer @ May 18 2010, 05:38 PM) Thanks @croomaniac! I wanna tiru people's setting, then R&D my own sunset setting works wonders as well. Added on May 19, 2010, 12:44 amThe F58 gets rid of the Whaletail, DEMB Diffuser and any other re-orienting diffuser on the market! Now all you need is a white card for some front fill, and maybe a Stofen Omnibounce if you're fussy. Of course, I like being able to quickly slip on my orange gel cardboard holder, so I don't use a Stofen.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ May 19 2010, 04:42 PM) eh...bring my DSLR to the sea will make it spoil easily?..due to the high humidity...any advice ?..how to protect it? dun change ur lens when facing the sea..the wind might blow air containing small particles of NaCl and other 'dust' into ur camera.. use a filter to protect ur front element.. last but not least... dun drop ur slr into the sea..

QUOTE(lwliam @ May 19 2010, 05:10 PM) since u only have your kitlens, stick it in there and dont remove it... thats all.. if get splashed with small amounts of water, just run a damp cloth over it. want to add..better wipe it CLEAN...if got residue left the salt will slowly eat ur camera.. Added on May 19, 2010, 5:12 pmQUOTE(8tvt @ May 19 2010, 04:50 PM) composition, lighting etc are subjective to me.. hard to measure.. i would just assume the pic taken was in the daylight and in the normal situation not at night or totally out of sight.. i saw his using iso 800.. so i can just assume it's a late evening or early morning then.. how can i measure the sunlight @ that time there.. so those 3 figures would give more benefit for my brain to interpret.. i would just say the result.. can get the similar result with a different ways of path.. i'm not to techy just for hobby.. how long have u use ur SLR? play at least one year..if u still can't get it...then ask us again..=) This post has been edited by zstan: May 19 2010, 05:12 PM
