Thank you for the info! It's really helpful as I am also doing a survey now.

chizzu, TQVM!
I think most of us having problem of finding retailers/sales agents who have experienced in dealing with PAKAR/REP/MM2H. Just my suggestion. If there is a list of experienced retailers/sales agents for reference, it would be easy for all of us! Just my suggestion. |

QUOTE(chizzu @ Jan 21 2015, 01:15 PM) Most Merc/BMW/Volvo/Honda/Toyota/Nissan showrooms have similar experience handling REP case. Just mention to them MM2H or PAKAR programme and they will know what it means. I am also doing a survey on Volvo cars too based on my budget:) Apparently, Volvo's tax exemption rate is higher compared to other car makers ( which sounds really good to REP or MM2H buyers ). However, besides the 5+5+5 promotion, I found almost nothing about cash rebates + free gifts offer upon Volvo car purchase. Kindly share should you guys have related info on cash rebates or other offers.Try go to Glenmarie area where most of the car showroom HQ are located. Dont even think of trying KIA, Peugeot or Citroen (or any company under NAZA), they dont entertain these tax incentives. Mazda and Hyundai, from my experience is quite hard to come by as the sales agent are inexperienced in dealing with the case (both are under Sime Darby/Inokom) tho Mazda showrooms are more helpful. Got the REP price for CX-5 after weeks it was launched. the discount for both marquee are very little tho. VW - Miserable discount rate. Could've top up extra ~10k bought a Volvo S60 T4 or BMW 316i for the price I pay for Passat under REP programme. Nevertheless they are helpful in providing the info. For Mitsubishi, heard the showroom in Glenamarie has dedicated team dealing with PAKAR programme. only ASX is CKD and a bit of search in this thread will reveal the price Subaru - only XV is CKD and a bit of search in this thread will reveal the price. Renault - only Fluence is CKD and a bit of search in this thread will reveal the price. (got mine for around 80k++) I went for Volvo V40 and Renault Fluence for my parents for my 2 cars allocation. |

QUOTE(chizzu @ Jan 23 2015, 02:13 AM) Yea basically you won't get much offer for cars under REP because it's usually brand new cars that are not yet tax/duty paid. Even if you go for Honda or Nissan they won't give you much rebate because they need to get a brand new car for you instead of old duty paid stock. Tho some car manufacturer do keep old stocks of non tax/duty paid cars. Today I am going to a Volvo showroom in Penang. Hopefully I would get good deal there. Will update if there is something interesting or worth sharing. Good day guys!Volvo didn't offer much rebate. I only get free umbrella from my purchase. Nevertheless it's the best bang for bucks compared to the others. The 5+5+5 practically seals the deal as most car dealers only offer 2-3 years warranty and/or free service and Volvo offer both for 5 years! |

Good morning! I am on my way to get my Volvo V40 T5 CC version. However, I was asked to prepare RM 300 for talent Corp handling charges. Did you guys get charged as well?
