Can anyone recommend a good SA for BMW who knows how to do the REP documentations and at the same time offer the best discounts? Great to hear from you guys for your advice.

Went to Renault showroom to have a look at  Renault Fluence yesterday.

REP tax free is estimated about RM 95k

shortlisting Renault Fluence and Subaru XV for my second car (tho i still have not bought any yet)
*
Which car did you buy for your first one? How did it take for delivery? Auto Bavaria SA told me they take about 1.5-2 months by using an agent.

Try chase your SA for more detail. Usually the chasis and engine number needs to be non paid tax so it depends on if they have the new shipment or stocks of the chasis and engine without tax paid.

But for your case, its since March so its quite long ago. Maybe you can try to email Honda Malaysia?

What car did you order? Wonder why it takes so long. usually its 3-4 months to get the car.

Anyways, i finally placed a booking for my first car tongue.gif

Cant believe I am placing a booking for a French car...

you can try use your overseas payslip before you come back, and your offer letter of your new job. Am sure it should be enough to support your loan application. I bought my first car when i was still working in UK using my UK payslip and bank statements.

*
Yeah Ingress told me that my employment letter would do. Might try it out but am in no hurry. Will only be seeing TalentCorp on Monday to get my letter from them.. hahaha!!

It really depends. once you logged in the SMPC system it usually take about 4-6 weeks for my case (one is 4 one is 6) but currently the SMPC system is down so I am not sure how you are going to check... I did submit my first car application myself with the help of the sales agent providing the information.
*
Yup.. the SPMC system is down for quite a while now and they have asked me to submit the documents to them for them to manually approve it doh.gif rolleyes.gif

According to TalentCorp REP purchaser can claim back the EEV incentive given and I am checking with TalentCorp what are the procedures and department to claim the EEV incentive for REP buyer. It may be a good news for those who has purchased a car with EEV incentive eg Mazda CX-5, Honda City and Mercedes C200
*
Hi bro,

Any update on this from TalentCorp? What you said about the EEV cars are correct. Right now, the E200 is the same price as the C250 cos of the EEV incentives.

Cheers.

Prior to transfering the ownership of the vehicle, you would need to pay up the remaining excise duty for the car, you would need to go in person to Customs dept with the REP approval letters and your vehicle registration card for an invoice on how much is remaining. They normally revert in a week. Once you pay up, the JPJ system would then receive a notification from them that your car is eligible for transfer of ownership (that you have paid the balance of excise duty).

Thanks so much for the explanation. How old was your REP car when you sold it? Was the tax charged very high? Thanks.

Yes at KJ. Have a good trip, you may need to make a second trip.

How long did it take you to complete everything? You paid at the customs office in KJ as well?

Just done with selling off a REP car. With all the EEV incentives for a lot of current vehicles, I would suggest that REP incentives are NOT worth the price and hassle to go through.

Hi I'm planning to sell my REP car too. Mind to share the sop. Thanks.

Bring a copy of your car registration card and your REP documents to the Kelana Jaya customs office and tell them you want to sell your car and how much tax you have to pay. They will take down your phone number and call you back once they have done the calculation.
