You had to bid for the number 4444. Malays like the number four because "empat" can be twisted to "dapat". Just like how chinese twist "pat" to "fat".

you see.. that is evidence that these are bullshit.

Malays like 4 because dapat but 4 is bad for chinese. So, does that means the numbers can recognize it's owner to be chinese or malay and then work it's magic? LOL

What I am saying is bad or good numbers are determined by cultures. Caucasians think of 13 as an unlucky number. For chinese 13 is a good number.

Abubin,
I did not say number are lucky or unlucky. I said people are taught what numbers are lucky or unlucky by the upbringing. I never had 4 in my life (eg student number, house number, phone no, car no, ic number, military no, birthdates ...). I don not consider myself lucky or unlucky.

I would agree with you that the luck element will not change because of change in ownership. You would also be surprise how the sum total of phychological effects can affect bad or good. Wall Street observers found market had a tendency to be bad on Friday the 13.

Maybe this piece of news should be part of the "Bad Karma" thread as well.
