like I suggested to alfredfx, try Christopher ward nearly new can get for around rm$600 for a swiss made auto. stocks run out pretty quick, u need to check in freq to get a bargain. unfortunately C3 Malvern Chronograph is a swiss quartz and price is at rm$500. the auto C5 (white dial I think U like white dial) still in stock and is going for 635.
nice thing about it is 60.60 return and warranty policy.

patryn, do you mean the Buffalo? How to check if it will fit my watch? Did you install it yourself?

Hi guys. I dun really know much about watch but i do love nice watches. Recently I have a very good offer of an old Tissot model which is Tissot PRC200, it's new with 2 years warranty. anyone who owns this watch mind to share their experience with this watch? and how's Tissot watch quality? If have problem how and where do i claim the warranty? I only own a Casio Edifice and Seiko watch. Feel like trying other brand instead of the current 2 brands. Tight budget which below RM1k and i guess not much choices around ya.

Thanks 1st to all sifus reply.

This watch is quite popular. Search in Amazon.com and read the reviews. Quite a nice-looking watch.

Anybody know what the difference is between Christopher Ward C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II models C5AWT-MK2 and C5AWK-MK2? Specs and price are exactly the same.

Hmm looking to get one of those Pilot B-uhr inspired watches..

So which brand offers the best value?

Christopher Ward? ..And some of those other German brands like Stowa, MkII, Archimede, Steinhart, etc

Sinn is a bit more premium than these right?

Best value... Seiko 5 at RM200+ only laugh.gif

hahaha...i stil prefer german brand than japanese

Seiko may be becoming Lexus..but still too mass market branded

A. Lange may be the Porsche and these little known german brands may be the Opel..but still have a better image  tongue.gif
*
Haha... well you should have mentioned no Japs tongue.gif I'm getting one of those as a beater rough-and-tumble watch.
Stowa may be the best for you, every piece hand-crafted thumbup.gif

Anyone of you deal with Steinhart before?

Send an email to them, they only accept paypal and bank transfer. Any idea how to brought from them using credit card? Thanks.

PayPal uses your credit card also. Lots of online shopping sites use PayPal now, it may be useful to sign up for an account.

nice Frederique constant. retail price from AD was set at US$1125. their discount is like longines... ~25-30%.
their goal is to make high quality mechanical watches at affordable prices.

Any automatic diving watches to recommend at about RM500? I know at this price my choices are limited to Japs but I don't mind. Saw the popular Seiko SKX007 but at 42mm it's bit too big for my 6.3" wrists. I'd prefer 38mm thereabouts, 40mm can too. Thanks.

Thinking of playing around with straps. Would a cheap RM5+ spring bar tool like this work? I saw Bergeon ones selling for RM60+.

if it works and the price is a price you're happy to pay, then why not?
they have discount vouchers every now and then...mostly 50% off + perks..
*
Thinking of grabbing a 2ER00002D with 49% discount and free watch... hmmm... do they ship to Malaysia? No choice of Country in the shipping address...

EDIT: noticed that they mention only coupon International50 may be used for international purchases for 50% off total order. Cannot be combined with any other coupons...

People who post "what watch would you recommend" posts here should really consider buying online. As patryn said, many a good deal can be found on the Bay or forums. But as usual, do your homework before making the purchase to minimize risk (eg product description, seller reputation, shipping options etc).

My last 5 watches were purchased online and all were delivered without issues.

I agree! Bought a Seiko5 for <RM190 on eBay. BBPlaza selling for RM299, Sg Wang RM340, that stupid watch shop at the Lowyat Plaza entrance tagged the price at RM599.

If the watch is available locally, try it out at the shops then buy online...

These 2 Singapore sellers (might be the same people) sell the cheapest Seikos from what I have seen. Need to bid with other buyers, though. The cheaper Seiko 5s regularly end up less than RM200. Very high turnover. Got my 38mm military 5s for about RM190s each.
