Tomiko V Mentor:- Mentor is about one size bigger than Tomiko but still lost comprehensively. Tomiko shows that even for Fs, size does not matter. Tomiko is simply stronger, younger and counter attacked well. Luckily the fight was stopped and hopefully Mentor can fight another time. Let's hope Mentor does better next time.

Macho Man V Mah Bok:- Macho Man is my latest FS and is my 1st King now. He is a one for one replacement for This Is It who suddenly grew old and has been released. Macho Man was caught along Jalan Bahar and presumably has the NTU bloodline which I hold in high regard. My current team:-

(1) Macho Man
(2) Mentor
(3) Love
(4) Rudge

Coincidentially, all of my Fs are from different parts of SG. Macho Man from Jalan Bahar, Mentor with Mandai, Love is a gift from Bro Ura and Rudge is a gift from Bro Ricky. Anyway, I heard that our fellow FS Bros had a successful hunt in Chan##. Please do enlighten me about your hunt as I could not join you guys.

Hi Everyone

Nice to know that everyone came home from Chan## hunt with some FS. Hope that Chan## would be the next spot to supply us with FS.

Anyway, Mentor has lost one arm and likely bit it off himself. He is nevertheless very healthy but decided to set him free. One small regret is did not take a Grid photo of Mentor after some days of feeding as he had grown quite significantly.

I understand that our Bro Jason will be coming for another round of fights. I should be Ok this week @ 6.00pm at the same place as last time.

Met up with our fellow Fs Bros in Yish## on 250511.

Present were Buaya, Ah Kim, Seng, Ricky, Vincent, Jason, Edmund and me. We fought and fought until the sky turned darked.....and continued until almost cannot see ..and lastly used the light below the round table to fight. Ha ha, must be there to understand.

From the beginning, both of my newly caught, namely Crush and Secret Weapon did not do so well. You can hear my cry of disappointment when Secret Weapon was defeated. . Bro Edmund has an unusual looking Fs, Diablo who appear to have some form of marking at his head. Maybe Bro Edmund was trying to tatoo something on the head?? At this moment, the best fight to me is Ricky's Thundercat V Edmund's Diablo, where all of us were excitingly counting the number of chops.

It is especially nice to have our fellow Fs Bro Jason come all the way from KL for this mass meet up.

Met up with Bro Edmund and Bro Buaya early this morming. Tried the Macho Man spot (about 3 bus stop from Nirv### traffic light). Did not catch any FS of significant size and we then explored the stretch of road along Jalan Bahar. Noticed that the stretch of yellow leaves plant near the Civil Defence has quite a lot of FS, maybe 50% of Nirv###. This "new"spot reminds me of Nirv### as initially I could not get any Fs of significant size from Nirv###. It was after a few months of intensive hunting at Nirv### that I got good sized FS.

Hope this new Civil Defence spot reward us with memorable FS.

Bro Buaya also gave me 3 FS which I gratefully and thankfully accept as my team needs strengthening. Decided to retain one of the 3 FS and he shall be called Strawberry, as suggested by my daughter.

Hi Everyone

Thanks to Bro Jason and Bro Ricky, we now have a few international FS fights recorded and for all to see. One quick look at the videos, I thought that Saphire, who is of good size is the overall champion but when I saw the last video, Bro Ricky's Thundercat manage to beat Saphire. When Bro Ricky is back from Cameron, we should try his Thundercat with my fierce sounding FS called Strawberry.

This morning, woke up early and no surprise I drove around Mandai looking for new spots unsuccessfully. I did not bring my bicycle and though I caught 4 M sized male, they were not very strong fighters and release them all together with my Fs called Crush. The biggest surprise is I managed to re-catch Mentor wehnI could not find any new spots. He is healthy but decided that he should look for a fierce FS wife and procreate. Many months ago, I similarly re-caught my first Ml sized FS, Valtor a week after release.

Hi Everyone

Yes, I have been very busy with work and been running all over the beautiful island of Singapore....for work purposes. Still somehow manage to keep myself updated with the FS Bros, a bit of hunt (maybe 30% of my normal effort) as well as read the forum.

We just about 2 hours ago had an Fs bout with Bro Edmund, Ricky and Ura at Bro Edmund's place. Managed to see all the " foreign talent ". Inbetween the busy-ness, managed to acquire 2 SL Fs, called Mysterio and Fear. Mysterio was caught after work on 01/06/11 and Fear was caught yesterday, lunchtime.

Will be releasing Love and Secret Weapon later today.

My heart and my mind is now on Cheras....and target 3rd week of June weekend. However, it will be last minute decision as it depend very much on my relative's avalability. Last year suppose to go and din go and instead went Pahang. Yes, Bro Jason, will kep you guys informed. In the meantime, I will be going to Hong Kong Sunday till Wednesday and once back and once work more managable....will be back to normal.

Hi Everyone

Finally after one week plus of work related madness do I now have the luxury of time and peace to slowly re-read the forum. I must be the only one who missed the historical events that have just unfolded ...that is the FS (s) caught by Bro Ricky from Cameron Highland. Today is the first time I viewed the video slowly with the sound on (office cannot lah...spider and garang music) and the T-Cam are huge. I love the name " Wonder Woman" and the name brought lots of teenage memories which I shall rather not describe. The 2nd last part of the video is the climax as both huge monster actually fought quite aggressively with each other. Yes, that is a very cool and exciting video.

I now wonder whether our normal FS of the past was actually of T-Cam size ? Many old timer will claim to have seen or kept bigger ones. Could it be that Singapore was colder in the past, hence the old timer mistook the T-Cam for our normal FS??? Well, thank you Bro Ricky for the national FS treasure.

I particularly love Bro Edmund's Diablo for being so cute and unusual ....something like a wig on his head??? However, Bro Edmund just informed me that Diablo met with a mishap after eating a black cricket. I wish Diablo well.

After this morning's fight, released Love and Secret Weapon and caught Po as replacement. Did not spar my FS for about 1 week and did so this evening:-

Hi Everyone

I have been away for holiday in Hong Kong for only 4 days and there are so many postings, particularly about sub-species of T-Bha.

I would take time to read the past days postings in detail later at night. In the meantime, while in Hong Kong had no opportunity to hunt as was with children and grandparents. While in Ocean park, saw 2 red-leaf sticking together and out came a T-Bha female . (not sure T-Bha or not but looks very much like our T-Bha). Shall name this female Cecilia Chung and below are her videos:-

Hi Bro Jason and Hi Everyone

Yes it is nice to be back. Cecilia Cheung (think is correct spelling) was caught in Ocean Park itself. The exact spot is near the cotton trees near Jelly fish area. In the coach, saw a lot of potential spots in the city. Today I realised that Cecilia Cheung is likely a good sized ML sized FS, maybe entry level L size and sigh....if only had time to hunt there may have caught big male.

I love your Big T. The teeth look so cute when one protrude out and he has nice long arms. Big T also seem like a strong fighter. I would definately buy crickets and bring along LC worms when I go over and I really hope my relative is free to accomodate us as last year December had to change plans last minute as relative not free.

Saw the earlier post by Mangrovejumper and what struck my mind was '"Thiania bhamoensis Thorell, 1887 — Burma to Sumatra ". That means way back in 1887, Ang Mohs were hunting and probably fighting FS??? I then started to day-dream of hunting with our local Fs team and Ang Mohs in jungles in the 19th century......catching 8 mm males... nice to know that our type of FS are available from Burma to Sumatra. Well these places may be my next holiday destinations.

Bro Ricky will be bringing his Dream Team and for me, it is liklely a "Dream-On Team ". I wasted no time to have my lunch time hunt on Friday and this morning. Caught total of eight Male, biggest is SL. Retained one sub-pow which I shall name as Snap as well as an M sized one (which beat 3 SL sized ones) called Pikachu. I also thought of using the name Hello Kitty but decided that Pikachu would be more appropriate.

Hi Everyone

It was a fantastic FS Sunday for all of us, really worth rushing there and back and out again..... So many Kaki at one place and is the first time I meet up with Bro Yuda too.

The biggest FS is Ah Kim's huge FS...easily large size. Where on earth does he always get such big ones???? I still remember his Bi Peno II, equally large. It would be good if we can photograph his huge FS on grid paper for all to admire. The strongest Fs is Cloud and he managed to beat the strongest challengers, Tomiko (Mentor destroyer) as well as Ah Kim's huge FS. That was the highlight of the day when heavy weights clash.

I also felt kind of sad or also don know whether to laugh or not when Bro Vincent's FS Arm kena bitten off. That was an L size FS biting off an ML sized FS's arm. It is already so hard to catch an ML sized FS...and kind of remind me of my Mentor arm kena bitten off. Anyway Bro Buaya and Ah Kim set such high standards and Buaya's spar Fs is my current 1st King, Strawberry.

Over the weekend, I did catch quite a lot of FS but none make the grade. Released 5 Fs this morning including Fear who lost to Pikachu, who then occupied the last slot in Team Randy.

While releasing the 5 FS today before work, was rewarded with an ML sized FS called Cotton Candy. . Thankfully he is a normal fighter and beat Pikachu, who was occupying Team Randy's last slot.

Hi Everyone

Din really have time during the week to see the postings but somehow have time for early morning, lunch and late evening after work hunt.

LC worm food: I feed them lotus seed with the brown skin on. There are 2 types of lotus seed available, with and without skin and generally the ones with skin are not processed and thus better (someone told me so). LC worm also eat bread and I guess red dates will do too. I have quite a big quantity of LC worms and will pass to Bro Jason an amount that can last a long long time to feed many many FS.

One more food source is housefly as I noticed Bro Towkay feeding his Fs with housefly. To me, the best way to catch them would be putting a rotting fish head out door and use a butterfly net to catch them. I used to do this as a child.

Today was driving along Mand## during lunch and saw Bro Ricky's car. Well he was busy hunting in the bush and I had 2 FS from my early morning hunt. He had one newly caught. We did what came naturally and fought our newly caught. However we did not record the fight as the meeting and fight was not planned. After our fight, caught another FS around Mand##, tentatively called Probation 1 .

Hi Everyone

I have been busy with work and not much time to post..partly also have to share computer with my kids. Most importantly, I am still very active in hunting.

Took a quick look at the post..... Yes, we should call Bro Ura Doctor Ura instead. Looking after tiny baby spiders are really challenging but rewarding and those are nice photos with all the instar history as well as list of measurements of body length for each instar. Honestly, I never knew there are so much interesting facts about FS and nice to know Cecilia Cheung is pregnant and hope that she can have big king kong pow off springs. Also Bro Jason hunting at the embassy That is cool and brave and oh yes, thanks for the 2 good size FS....named them J1 and J2.

Last Sunday morning, hunted alone at Nirva## CB leaf area and caught an SL FS called Yakuza. In the afternoon of Sunday, met up with Bro Ricky at Mandai and din really catch any FS of significance. Had my daily lunch time hunt from Monday to Wednesday....also nothing significant. Yesterday, caught another SL sized Fs called P Ramlee..

Boy Oh Boy, what a FS thrashing Bro Ricky gave me . There were a few spectator and one girl even remarked "Why that uncle spider always lose one ah? "

Love that cute fight between Kompany and Drunken...never seen a drunk FS before.

Your other fights are also all good long exciting fights. On my part, seem to have regressed a bit in terms of standard and though I still hunted almost daily during lunch, the ML FS are still elusive. Yesterday, I actually put on my rain coat and umbrella and hunted at Nirv### in heavy rain...becoming gila soon. Managed to catch an SL sized Fs called Rain. Rain lost to P. Ramlee and P. Ramlee lost to Yakuza and Yakuza lost to Bro Ricky's 5th king.

The most important thing is the weekend is here ..... yahoo ...likely will have a small group hunt on Sunday..charging my camcorder and having wild fantasy about FS already.

Hi Everyone

I had bit of time here and there and went in search of new spot (when children do homework).

Decided to go to Normant## Par#. There were many yam leaves and CB leaves but tiny FS. The most exciting moments were spotting catfish in the drain and will be going back not to catch FS but the cute catfish.

Today, met up with Bro Ricky, Ah Kim and Ricky at Nirva##. I went with a weak team of Yakuza, Rain and P. Ramlee. It was very nice of Bro Ah Kim to be in a Christmas mood and started distributing his ML to me, to Bro Ricky and Bro Edmund. Thanks Bro Ah Kim.....I did try and try and try but cannot catch beyond an SL sized and I think Bro Ricky tried 10 times harder than me and we often bump into each other during lunch or after hours hunt.

Anyway, decided to name my presents as Lollipop and Edison. Well Lollipop is a name given by my daughter. Here are the 1st instalment of the video:-

Hi Bro Jason and Hi Everyone

It is exciting to hear (again) that Bro Jason has found a new spot. I yearn go over to Cheras to hunt but really cannot due to happy domestic commitments. Sigh.....if only can hunt freely...

I had lots of FS hunting plans for weekend in SG. However, last minute somehow cannot carry out my plans fully but still manage to squeeze in a bit of time to find a new spot, Normant## Par#. Lots of CB leaves and yam plant but small sized FS.

Anyway, my FS fantasies were fully satisfied as Bro Ah Kim gave me 2 ML sized FS, Lollipop and Edison. I always wonder how Bro Ah Kim and Bro Buaya always manage to catch so many ML. If he did not gave us his ML, he would have 4 ML to challenge with.....and nobody can match him. Perhaps it is skill from decades of experience as after Sundays fight, noticed him bending down to see the under-side of Nirva## lilies and even though he was at the same spot as all of us, he managed to catch an SL sized FS whereas I caught 3 females. I also noticed that Bro Buaya have a unique style of squatting at a spot for long period of time and his results of some of the biggest FS in SG speaks for itself.

Bro Jason: Yes, crickets helped of our FS to grow. That is our Fs version of 'maximizer".

Bro Ezi: Yes, I caught 3 males at Normant## Par# but too small. Was there for half hour only...so possibly have bigger males waiting to be caught.

Bro Ricky: Thanks to Bro Ah Kim, my team has been strengthened instantly. I did not stop there and hunted whenever I could. So, meet my new team member, Goober who came from the deepest jungle of errr... Mandai? Anyway Goober beat Rain and Rain had beaten P Ramlee a few times already. Here are the videos:-

Anyway, caught 2 ML sized female today. Initially wanted to mate them with Lollipop but changed my mind after Bro Ura reminded me to feed the female well before mating as they may bite the male. Still remember my last ML, Cotton Candy where I itchy backside train him with Evil Chopster and poor Cotton Candy lost a leg as a result. Well lesson learnt and FS mistakes must not be repeated. Also collected cricket present from Bro Edmund today and it came in a nice container with carrots, vegetable and a McDonald spoon.

Hope to get another team member before the wekend.

Hi Everyone

Sorry could not join you guys for testing FS that day as was busy with work. Nice to know that Bro Ah Seng and Bro Vincent still have strong FS.

The last few days have been total failure in terms of hunting. 3 days ago, tried to hunt in the late evening when the sun set and reached my destination too late and was too dark. Knocked my head against car door in the process. 2 days ago, went earlier and squat from 1855 to 1930 and only spotted a tiny male walk past. Yesterday was on leave and in morning hunted all over Nirva## only to catch 2 tiny male. Today, met up with Bro Ura and Bro Ricky and hunted near Normant## Par#, then proceed to Ken# Ridg# Par# , then to Pars#, then to Nirva## and lastly to think is Juron# Road....caught nothing. Also not forgetting my almost daily unsuccessful lunch time hunt..

Since I have no team renewal this week, have to retain my older Fs which I had intended to release like P Ramlee, Rain and an SL Spar caught at Nirva## sometime ago. Oh Yes, did have a quick read and was so amazed with Bro Mindstorm's photographs of his trekking trip in Sabah. Like in particular, the photo of the long horn beatle and look like some outer space creature. Also noticed Bro C. Way's Avatar/photo and look kind of creepy...

All is not lost as though no new FS, had a nice Fs bout with Bro Ricky this morning and the 1st instalment:-

Hi Everyone

Great to see so many fights posted by Bro Ricky and Bro Jason. Also look forward to seeing Bro Jason FS spar with Bro Mindstorm's Fs....in the near future.

Yes, we are to some extend lucky here in SG to have FS kaki to spar with. We are however not so blessed with the quantity of Fs available.. Example is Sunday morning, I tried 3 different spots in Manda# and caught nothing. Maybe it has to do with the dry weather and need more patience. Anyway, the 2nd instalment of fights recorded and yes, none of my team member can beat Mugen yet....:-
