@farizshj You could try the goldsounds dj course, that's pretty cheap, especially for the intro classes they do (RM100 for 8 intro sessions). The free option is to get someone to teach you, or learn from YouTube videos and other Google-able tutorials. You can get a lot of information but you just need to put in the time and effort, just like anything else in DJing. DJing basics like beatmatching are easy, but having the drive and passion to keep working at it is key to getting good at DJing.
Don't stress about equipment, you can get cheap options from 500-1k but the main thing is to do your research before buying so you get the kind of equipment you want (including software). In the meantime you can download Virtual DJ for free and learn using your computer. The mixtrack pro is great for learning and basics, and can be relegated to a spare if you decide to upgrade. |

QUOTE(oOoproz @ Aug 24 2015, 09:00 PM) Do you know where can rent those dj controller equipment? Or any studio where I can go there and play? For controller, find a friend with one Otherwise, you can visit any DJ store and ask them if can play play awhile, for a fee. DJ studio I'm sure you can Google! |

@djandrew Keeping up with the new stuff not necessary, lots of retro places around looking for experienced DJs like you! Recent music can slowly build as you go along. Skills are timeless
I myself like a huge variety of music, but haven't really been able to play the things I want to play (house, indie, electro). Too many uncles telling me they want retro and RnB from the 2000 era. Used to haunt this forum and give advice here and there, but nowadays seems like nobody really keeps up? I generally see people use Facebook much more though. It's easy and lots more features than LYN forums xD |

@LeaseLiner I dunno man, that's a really weird sounding song to me. Maybe... psycore? It's got psy elements, hardcore but slowed down...
@oooproz PC speaker ok already la, invest in good headphones first instead. Mixer there are dozens of used ones that you can get on FB, just look around |

QUOTE(oOoproz @ Apr 23 2017, 08:27 PM) Do u know which shop at Jalan Pasar there is good for buying speaker? Too many choices there, I wanna find a reliable seller Don't really know where got good speaker shop, I always buy things online lol. Can check out DJ shops all around and see, they'll have better opinions on monitors for home use. Jalan Pasar more like PA for home/party use. Find reviews online first and have a few shortlisted based on budget and needs, then only go Pasar to check them out. |
