are you saying the sl1300 is damn old or is it the sl1200? Anything since 2005 can't be considered that old right? Unless you're talking about techno music.

first of all , playing guitar and changing to turntablism is totally two different thing
in turntablism , there is no Chords or anything to follow ...you just need to "feel" around ..and get the right feel

do u know what's involved in turntablism? mixing DJ in clubs and turntablism is quite a different thing
DJ-ing in club = spinning and mixing musics
Turntablism = alot to do with spinning mixing , and technical skills for PRESENTATION ..or should i say .. to "show off" your skills

turntablism means u need turntables
u can't just use turntables to make your music ,but u will a mixer with that..
a turntable only can produce musics, beats using traditional record make out of vinyl .. which we call Vinyl Records.


summary = turntables + mixer + vinyl records

turntables = usually technics .. cost about RM1500-300 each
mixer = ranging from 1.5K to 5K depending on the functionality u need
vinyl records = RM60 to RM150 per record and it's hard to find in malaysia
DVS = Digital Vinyl System = about RM2.5K to 3K ... one off price .. after that u just need a laptop and alot of mp3 download ..

wow , u got a long way to turntablism .
i don't even consider this as basic knowledge
u r asking like .. what's a GUITAR and a BENJO ..
it's two different equipment but does the same thing

one is using those old black vinyl record .."piring hitam"
and the other .. using CD ....

i think you should do more "homework" first before trying your hands at turntablism ..

haha...yea2....ive never played it b4.real noob. ..

then you should start youtube-ing and google-ing ..

hehe....on my way....downloading vids frm utube....

go look for DJ TUTOR on youtube.. tell you alot of basic things u need to know
