Hi, I'm a fresh grad with an engineering degree. My only official work experience is my 4-month long internship in an engineering company.

However, I'd been freelancing as a graphic designer on and off during my student years. I also started a side business selling and designing shirts. My question is will including these two "other" experiences in my resume give me an advantage, or put me in a disadvantage?

I plan to highlight the skills I've attained through these activities. For example:
Freelance graphic designer
- accustomed to working with datelines and scheduling jobs.
- etc, etc...

What I'm worried is that the company will think that I might be prone to take up side jobs when I'm working for them. doh.gif I'll be applying for engineering positions.

Also, is it good practice to include an OBJECTIVE section in the resume? Many U.S. based websites encourage this, but I'm wondering if it's same for Malaysia.
