Thanks for the advice, but do we need to to state on why we have been choose to RIF? I mean, I'm not sure the purpose of that, anyway I will update it later, and thanks again.

I think it would disadvantage you for reason you had mentioned yourself. I am sure you would like to bring it up to show you have some experience. I suggest you go around it. You can mention it is your dad's business and you help out daily. That paints a dutiful son image smile.gif

Yes, objective had been an essential item for resume in Malaysia (long before your were in born) since very early 1980.

I am not and IT person. You tell me, would the IT industry not be impressed by your listing of IT skills?

I said your resume is good to go based the content and format you presented your facts. I had no idea how much value it carries in the IT field. I assume it had some worth and concluded that "why let a person of so much talent go?"I think potential employers may have similar thoughts.

Anyway here is my assessment of you after reading your resume.
You been around since the text programming days and snowballed your experience over the years. It seem that almost everything out there in the IT world you had touched on. Moving from the days of 286 and maybe even the Vic20 to Pentium quart is a long journey. Most people would have specialized as the field begin to find and form new branches. Since you are ask to RIF I can conclude that you are a jack of all trades but master of none. Assume that I have the technical expertise I will probe on this unless you cover my doubts.

Hey, operation moved to Mexico is a good one. Do it on the cover letter not the resume. Your resume is well organize already. Don't try to insert a misfit into it.

Thanks a lot for the explanation and advice, now I understand what was your point. By the way I was not ask for RIF, but it was given without a choice, they want to cut cost and move the operation to Mexico, my whole team gone and other team as well.

Again thanks a lot for your advice and opinion, really appreciate it.
