Can website or any sifu can give me some guidance? notworthy.gif

Hey, do you guys think it's advisable to put it your referees contact? My thinking is that if I were to put in my supervisors details, and while in the midst of applying job, the new co actually gives a ring to my supervisor, wouldn't my supervisor then know that I am changing job?

I'd suggest you give some other reference number instead of your current supervisor. Don't you have any friends that are working in relatively bigger or well-known company? Actually anyone will do, just don't put current company's contact. smile.gif

Hey, u mean I can put my fren as a reference? This is my first job actually, hv no one else to put

I'd suggest you put someone that you are close with, someone who you worked with before. ie. part time promoter or something similar. Someone who can actually speaks about you.

I do have 6 page resume. I am planning on cutting it down since many people said it's not wise to put ALL into it.

The visual planning to remove it, and print hard copy and laminate when interview. Easier for them to see.

Any comments?

Hi guys,

Would appreciate some comments from the floor. I am currently updating my resume and is it advisable to insert some positive remarks given by my big boss in my latest performance feedback form in the resume?

Would that add value or it will detrimental to my resusme?

Really appreciate and look forward to receiving any comments.

Thanks guys.

I guess it would be more powerful tool to use if your boss could draft the letter out with signature on it. That would be a recommendation letter. biggrin.gif

Hi everyone, I am a fresh graduate student without any related working experience. Just want to know,
1) Should I include my previous semester break unrelated working experience or not?
2)Should I include my hobby and personality inside my resume?
*
You can put what you have done during college days. Other than that, any club that you participated in? Any event or competition you joined and won something?

As for second point, you can insert as well but don't touch so much about it. Just briefly go through will do. wink.gif

For referral section is it appropriate if I put my ex-superior from work more than a year ago? (Ex-boss still same company and same position but I moved to another company).
Because my current workplace superior already changed twice within a year.. and not in good relationship with current superior.
*
No issue actually. I used my previous previous superior as reference.

Is depending on your relationship with your ex superior. You should look for someone who can give sweet talk to the reference check lady or guy. laugh.gif

Let's say if you want to move into a different industry or transition into a different role, how would you structure your resume? Do you prioritise transferable skills or experience from previous industry/role?
*
No exactly. I believe even in different industries, some certain sets of skills are still be able to use. ie. marketing, account, operation, logistics. Unless you are talking about a total shift of your skillset, then i can't help much.
