I just realize there's no such topic here.

Health is important, just curious, how many members are actually taking good care of themselves?

What's your age group?

Is there anyone out there started the Anlene's calcium intake regime? I'm in the 20s and started drinking their milk out of health concern.

do you do breast check every month? do you have a gynaecologist that you visit every month for pap-smear? do you have a lady's insurance?

are you doing enough for your health?

Ensure and Nutrien Optimum are meal replacement.
These are expensive and specially for people who cannot take normal food like us.

For the time being, I don't think it's necessary for us to take these yet.

calcium is important for strong bone. Taking calcium only will not bring much benefit. Do ensure to take magnesium as magnesium helps in calcium absorption

Good calcium magnesium supplement can help in gastric as well smile.gif

I haven't stopped drinking milk since I was born because my mother insisted that my brother and I stay on milk. my intake has definitely decreased now because I'm in university by myself and I never was a huge fan of milk but I know that my bones are a heck of a lot better than a lot of people's because of my mom.

I'm 22 years old and I had my first gyno checkup in February. You only need to visit the gyno once a year - hence the annual checkup. You don't need a pap smear every month what the heck mou yeh cho go to the gyno?

Breast checks are done at the gyno's too, but I check myself maybe once every two months

step 3. Find a good doctor.

When I posted that reply in 2010, I was still in school so the women's doctor I went to was part of the university's health center. Now I see a private clinic.

I am living in KL , and see a gynae in sime darby medical center. It is not-that-cheap-but-affordable kind of annual check up. Pap Smear, pelvic ultrasound and breast check ( no instrument , doctor checks manually to see if there is any lump) cost RM 237 , with the following break down for those that wish to know

pap smear - RM82
Ultrasound - Rm 60
Consultation - RM 90
MEdical record - Rm5

Hi ,

Dr. Tang Boon Nee. MBBS (Adelaide) MRCOG (Lond)

Waiting time is long but she is quite friendly and caring.

Ps: first consultation ( new patient) is more expensive

Erm ... actually she doesn't have to do the breast check for me . The Rm200plus includes pelvic ultrasound, pap smear and consultation. Usually other gynae will still charge u the RM90 ( or even more ) consultation fees thou they didnt perform any breast check for you. So Dr. Tang breast check is kinda " free" to certain extent.

I know it is not accurate , but it is just like a self check , better than tak dah. biggrin.gif

Her clinic is in Sime darby Medical Centre, Subang ( now know as subang jaya medical centre)

I'm 30 and I've read up a lot about why people are moving away from Cow's milk. http://www.peta.org/living/food/reasons-stop-drinking-milk/
Basically, humans aren't really designed to drink cow's milk. So i've opted to eat more Vegs that are high in calcium like brocolli and buk choy. Also, fish and almond nuts.

As a general rule, I keep healthy with exercise. I go regularly for dance classes and I just turn on YouTube at home to work out for 15 mins caz I don't have time.

Pap smear, it think most people have covered it here. I usually go once a year (recommended for people who are sexually active) and at the same time have a breast check with my OBGYN Dr Gan in Gleneagles Penang.
