Is there any possibility that cutting off that segment of vocals can reduce the size of the audio track? It it is, I can then understand the logic especially in a movie that long and at the same time, tried to retain the quality of the images.

Just curious.
I read that the Avatar BD comes in a set of DVD and BD together. Has anyone of you tested the sound quality of the DVD? Was the sub 25Hz sound being capped?

I came across THIS PAGE. Quote: " ..THX Balanced Bass-line breaks the mold of traditional subwoofer designs—getting the sub out of the big box. The technology places small, micro-precision woofers face-to-face, arranged in balanced pairs. This approach force cancel vibrations, ensuring deep low frequency performance without vibrations discoloring soundtracks or intruding into adjacent rooms. " The above description is meant for the new line of subwoofer design concept in order to reduce vibration. It seems that THX aims to reduce that effect deliberately. Does that explain why the Avatar has a cap in-placed instead of other non-Thx rated disc? Just curious.
