we need a midfielder that can score goals. Against small team, we can leave out Carrick and put that particular midfield scorer. Just like Lampard, score a lot when against small team

Lampard scored like half of them from penalties.

i think age is a factor but if the player himself knows how to play accordingly to his age i think it wont be a problem.just as corez pointed out yet again.giggs is old so is our other 2 oldies but still at times they come home wth the goods.

larsson was old too same as teddy.those 2 can excelled despite their age.so now if we look at berba, his age isnt a problem imo, whats hindering then??maybe his work ethic, his low morale or simply he wasnt cut out for the a big club as us...it could be anything.

if he stays lets see what he will do different or how he will improve, if he leaves then its good luck and thank you for his services thats all.

but the apparent thing is that we are short of fire power.just 2 strikers(rooney and berba) isnt sufficient.we won the treble with 4 top and regular strikers.

why not take a look as a whole? This doesn't include assists.

The reason that Sheringham wasn't being criticized because of his goal in UCL final Treble year.

And the reason Berba is criticized because of his price tag, 30m.

Why not blame SAF? He bought him for 30m. So, f*** SAF.

y blame SAF? It's SAF duty to bring the out the best of a player, but if the player himself is not up to par, what can he do?

dude, ppl expect something when they bought for 30M? Are they wrong bcos of that? I dun really see why is it a big deal when critisizing a player. Bashing is another story though.

Lots of poster said that Berba is old. Thats why I mentioned Teddy.

BTW if anyone even cared about our club history would know that Teddy had one of his best season for us during the 00-01 season. He was 34 I think that time.

So just cut Berba some slack ok.

ok ..keep playing him till 34, while our youngster rot on the bench. Thats better ain't in?
btw, im not saying we should sell him, but just hope that he can perform better.

tedyy 4th choice??ahaha now thats funny....back then when we had 4 of them there wasnt a choice of who was 1,2,3,4 la.they all were rotated and all of them provided the magic when needed.

we didnt depend on any single of them more then the other, we depended on all 4 of them, the other lads, the whole team.
