well, eventhough I do want Oezil - OH EH ZIL - in the squad, but I can tell you this, SAF sure tak mau.

"Oh we have a capable squad sudah. Buat apa mahu lagi"
*
Value. Age. Oezil fit the description. Get it done David Gill!

He can play on the wings too. 442, 433=out wide
4231/451 = behind Rooney.

Hoho. Dream stuff.

Manager approval = DENIED.

Reason of rejection: "WE HAVE A PERFECT SQUAD SUDAH BUAT APA MAU LAGI"

He watched the game and he said to himself, "Excellent! He knocked England out. He's a Scottish hero." He straight away pick up the phone, dialled Gill's number, and say, "sign the fuuuu guy!"

sell berba?  biggrin.gif

We still need Berba. We play 3/5 of our games with two strikers. Shove Ozil out wide. drool.gif

It's not just one game though. 4 games! tongue.gif
Wasn't there news that he snubbed us to move to Bremen instead years back?

A month long rest for Rooney after this I guess. When will the tour start?

Good player and we could do with a player like him when Rooney is out injured. But as a partner, not so sure. Looks good on paper, and might work out, but we see Rooney as the furthest forward now, the goalscorer. His partner will have to be the creator. He won't be happy to be a backup that's for sure. And we play with one striker in 2/5 of our games. We also just recently bought Hernandez who looks pretty good.

Hernandez just shove Heinze out of the pitch. United is in his blood already. Nice. Pity him. Not much service. Got one shot away early on, but after that nothing. He almost got to that cross though towards the end.

Added on June 28, 2010, 3:24 amWhile Argentina were celebrating the goal hugging and all that, Heinze was about to walk away but hit the camera who was very close to them. He hit the camera pretty hard after that. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Reimao @ Jun 28 2010, 03:43 AM)
Dear Saf,

It had come to my attention that the squad is still lacking a creative player who could both dribble and pass efficiently. Since Scholes is vying for a coaching stint at Oldham the year after, and that Anderson is still flirting with being exile and not to mention the hot nurse the club has acquired, it is best if you could sign a german prodigy in the form of Mesut Ozil.

Fret not, he's not German by nature. So no worries. You won't get butt hurt, and so does the fans.

yours,
M.O

I doubt SAF cares. He's Scottish! biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

Not really. His place is safe since we don't really have a senior striker we can depend on apart from Rooney. (Not that he's dependable when Rooney is out for that lone role, but as a pair with another striker, he's good).

Ozil said this sometime back..

He said: ''It's a big honour for me that such a great club like Manchester United wanted to buy me. But their offer came in too late - a day before the window closed - and I had already given Bremen my word.''

True story. Wait and see. tongue.gif

Bastian Schweinsteiger. Started off as a pretty good young winger. Didn't really hit the heights people predicted but has transformed himself into a very good CM. 26 this year.
Young midfielders=Wait till they get to 24-26 before writing them off, unless they're totally rubbish.

His touch and control is already at a good level if his two goals is anything to go by. People should be excited by his youtube videos. Good in the air, good with both feet, good finisher(based on that limited amount of vids), quick, good movement and is pretty handy too physically. Certainly not afraid to battle it out. His performances so far almost confirmed that. Question is now whether he has what it takes to perform with us. We'll find out soon. Can't wait though.

Added on June 28, 2010, 5:06 pmChicharito - last 3 goals against Netherlands with a header, against France with a right-footed finish and against Argentina with a left-footed finish.

3 big teams, 3 different goals.

+ He pushed Heinze out of the pitch.
Should have punched Tevez to complete the full set. But can't be greedy I guess.

Defenders?

RB: G.Neville(35), Rafael(20)
RB/CB: Wes Brown(31)
CB: Rio(32), Vida(29), Evans(22), Smalling(21)
LB: Evra(29), Fabio(20)
RB/CB/LB: O'Shea(29), De Laet

It's not a position we should worry too much. Last season was kinda freaky with everyone out, except Evra. Won't happen too many times although Brown and Rio will have that problem especially at their age. But in Smalling we have one for the future, and another body back there.

Although a lot of them are getting on in age, the likes of the twins, Evans and Smalling are some security for the future. We know two of those are proven already. Evra, Vida, O'Shea should be good for the next 3-5 years as well. Gary, Wes and Rio might not have that much time left though. We'll look for replacement when the time comes. Right now, in term of numbers and quality, we're fully stocked in that department.

Can they fit for this season..?.I hate going 2nd place. Not every game THE TWINs play their part. And SAF sometime make mistake by selling TEVES by keeping BERBA.Can't find someone who trully creative on center and HOPE on oldies. You can see what happen in WORLDCUP.All of the teams put youngster.why...?
*
Gary, Wes, and Rio will have problems throughout although Wes and Gary won't have too much trouble, until they get injured that is. It's Rio which is serious. O'Shea, Vida and Evans, they won't miss too many games.

Rafael, 28 games in his first season, 16 last time in which in the 1st half of the season he missed a lot of games through injury. When fit, he'll play a lot of games at RB. Considering his age, he will continually be rotated in and out of the team. O'Shea, Wes and Gary will get those games that he won't play.

Fabio is getting a lot of these little injuries. It's just a growing up phase where his body is still adjusting to the changes and he'll get injured here and there. He won't be like that for long though.

Tevez: 29 games, 5 goals in the EPL. 9 games, 2 CL goals in his last season with us.
We wanted to keep him, we just weren't prepared to pay the price his agent wanted so we tried to bargain the price. In the end Tevez got fed up not because we didn't show more to keep him although I'm sure his agent influence him because of that, but rather he can't stand being 3rd choice. Who can blame him for that though. A player as good as him should be first choice. But at a club like us, we can't guarantee that especially when we have players as good if not better than him.

Hope on oldies?
Scholes, Giggs.. yeah.

That's why we have Ando, Nani..

QUOTE(mhyug @ Jun 28 2010, 06:34 PM)
hoo ini sotong mana plak prophesied ??kehkehkeh  laugh.gif

anyway any player can make the mark or not is yet to be seen, and most of all depends on the player themselves.if they want to achieve greater heights, if they want to be pushing their limits or not, one thing is for sure united wont wait for them we will always push for glory no matter how hard it is!!
*
Fletcher, O'Shea, Nani, Berbatov, Evra, Vida(first 6 months wasn't pretty).. We are quite patient with our players. Its up to the players to take the chances given to them.

QUOTE(December 1n death @ Jun 28 2010, 06:30 PM)
Hope they don't be like OBERTAN or TOSIC.

Obertan have done quite well in his limited appearances, especially considering how much we got him for. Can't ask too much more. He's a gamble, but doesn't hurt us in anyway.
