It's ok... You don't have to samperth, it just to share on tortoise knowledge of desease..I guess forum to share about animal problem, anything else about it, I got him in Malaysia Petshop...which got permit to sale this tortoise 4 years ago.

And I declare him to A month ago at shah alam Perhilitan coz of new regulation rule of have permit to keep cites pet.
Simple rite ? You don't have to make it complicate or fire up my posting.

Yup...nothing to worry about with Perhilitan if you don't do anything wrong...

At moment ok la...Perhilitan busy got big project yesterday, they won't raid you...

Permit of cites tortoises out already from HQ. Was 5th July actually but all name who listed already out.

You can always buy from registered seller or shop, they have license to sale tortoise, and makesure keep the receipt.

If you only buy 1 or 2 as pet then it's look like pets...if you buy over 10 or 20 evenyou have license, sure Perhilitan keep on eye on you.

Perhilitan OK if you don't do anything wrong...!!

when you in the shop to buy, call Perhilitan ( so make sure you shopping at working hours that Perhilitan open ) at receipt there is code number of they license permit selling of toertoise, when you call Perhilitan you tell them which shop berhad and number code what so ever Perhilitan will know if shop legally selling tort
oise.

That way you won't get cheated also when you buy snakes and monitor lizard or birds, that need license as well.

Permit not mean for sale, buy to make sure they have record how many they sensus and people keep cites tortoise in Malaysia.

It doesn't matter you can keep them forever, but you just can't sale them ever.

well.....In Indonesia people seem have a good time gathering around and share knowledge, Share how to breeding, and best way look after creatures and reptiles.

Its about money, and make sure they dont loose they money...

Its all about how to share the knowledge, the more you understand the more you love them and participate to care how endangered rather than say " I have rare collection "

Its all about educate people rather than scare them to death of huge penalty but people not knowing anything and what to do with endangered.

I rather educate people " Buying mean Killing them " simple right..
Authority sometimes have double standard in fact in the end because they human being too and always chance to make little bit luck by misstreated man power, infact almost all authorities doing the samething.

I talked to mr.wong ( person in charge declare the permit ) today at phone, cites 1 still trying to get approve from ministry of what ever, any tortoise cites 2 approved.

Yup, sound just let people keep them without any info what they have to do in future.
Keep it that way at moment and enjoy the freedom.
