Bowlzone in Summit offers good price for their balls..
Sunway pro shop is good because the man does the balls for the national team and the balls there are quite high end.. price wise is ok too..
endah parade one is opened by holloway cheah(I think..).. need me to say somemore? haha.. national team coach..
avoid the one in timesquare.. bloody expensive.. I bought my magic touch in bowlzone for RM599.. whereas timesquare is selling it for RM799..

how to know? just throw your ball... if it skids a lot.. more than likely its heavy oil.. if it hooks super duper early.. then its dry..
or.. you could just ask the workers there.. they should know..
I dont think they do any patterns on oiling.. unless you are joinning tournaments.. so you wont need to worry about patterns..

you could polish or sand your ball surface.. if its not hooking enough you could bring your surface down to 2000-grit using an abarlon pad.. or if its hooking way too much you could polish your ball so that it will skid more..
2nd dimension is more for heavy oil lanes.. virtual gravity is a heavy oiled lanes ball.. you will suffer when the lanes break down..

each ball surface is different.. are you a hook player? or just throw straight ball? if you are hook player.. you should understand sometimes you play your ball hooks damn early.. or sometimes you play.. your ball hook late or dont hook at all.. if your ball hooks early.. you need to polish your ball surface.. so that your ball will skid more.. if your ball hooks late or no hook.. you need to take a pad.. they call it abralon pad.. got sell in sunway.. and start rubbing your ball with the pad.. it makes the surface rough so that the ball could bite the lane and hook.. the two balls that you saw.. 2nd dimension ball is made for medium to heavy oil lanes.. but its closer to a heavy oil lane ball.. which means if the lane is not oily enuf OR has been played by other ppl for many many games... the ball will be harder to control(but still controllable).. virtual gravity ball is a heavy oil lane ball.. so if many people have played the lane already and they did not clean the lane.. you may have a problem controlling the ball.. the hook will surely die when it reaches the pin.. what you want is a continous hooking motion..

drilling is another story.. you cannot change your drilling while you drilled ur ball already..
this is small changes that you can make to your ball when you suddenly encounter an oily/dry lane during tournaments/leagues/compertitions.. plug and redrill the ball takes 2 days wat.. ahha..

no.. drillings doesnt work like that.. drillings follow ur style of playying.. some drillings could let your ball go deep down in the lane and then have a super duper sharp backend.. some drillings are for flare which means using the ball maximum hook capability.. so depending on ball speed, axis tilt, axis rotation, and rev speed.. you will know ur drillings..
but then.. why would u want a ball that is better than your old ball but you want it to perform like your old ball? haha.. doesnt make sense.. you want it to be better! hahaha..

u tell me simple hook no use lah.. I also dont know ur simple is how simple.. LOL! and need to see ur drilling layout also.. post a pic.. or if u know how to measure.. good also.. post ur measurements.. ahahha.. polish doesnt make the ball hook lahh.. polish makes the ball skid.. thats why no hook! hahaha! no idea.. need to see how u play.. rev rates and ball speed plus axis rotation is important.. sometimes you dont need to buy such high performance ball.. but if you have the money to buy it.. by all means go.. LOL! jimat mah.. play smart.. .. Pete Weber doesnt use 2nd dimension or invasion or virtual gravity.. he uses Furious.. yet he is PBA ranked #2.. sunway is wood lane.. you just see the lane.. if it looks very smooth like plastic.. its synthetic.. if u looks abit rough.. then its wood.. wood lanes.. you can see each board properly.. synthetic its abit hard cause the lines not so clear.. one is use real wood to make.. one is use man made materials.. real wood has more friction.. means hook more... synthetic is very smooth.. yeah.. harder to hook.. wood lanes for me is easier to play than synthetic lanes.. This post has been edited by NeoSquall: May 2 2010, 06:43 PM

there is a technique to do so that your hand wont swing to the left.. .. and its not knee drilling.. hey boomer.. you playying tml? i might stay in sunway to see JJ and Ean get whacked by the malaysian ice hockey team in pyramid.. gimme a call or sms.. it could be.. 1. you are overturning the ball 2. your release timing is wrong 3. ur backswing has a problem 4. your release is wrong Im thinking more of 1, 3 and 4..

you must remember to have your hand behind your ball when you reach ur ankles.. you need someone to see it because you cant see it..
are you dropping your ball? thats one of the reasons too.. you need a slight loft when you throw it.. but ofcourse not loft too much.. put a towel after the foul line.. not too far.. say about 10cm after the foul line.. and start throwing.. make sure your ball dont touch the towel..
how do you grip ur ball? do you grip it with the base of your whole thumb(your thumb nail should be touching the back of the hole..)?

haha.. knee drilling also can.. but that one trains ur knee so that you can bend properly for the slide.. thats in my opinion lah.. LOL! dont really know what is it for.. never did seriously do any knee drilling last time.. LOL! Added on May 4, 2010, 9:02 pmQUOTE(neutral88 @ May 4 2010, 09:58 PM) like me, my hand always to the right..n then the ball goes to longkang..over release? its your release.. keep your elbow near ur body.. your elbow is far away from your body..
