Kia is under Naza
Hyundai mainly by Sime Darby
no crash of interest here

my guess on SD marketing... they *may* bring in...
1.6 - new Accent in the future (finger crossed)
1.6 & 1.8 - new Avante
2.0 and 2.4 for Sonata market

QUOTE(bluedolphin @ May 11 2011, 12:10 PM)
What i have been told was 1.6 with- 127HP (80K++) and 1.8 - 147 HP (100++  but <110K) , the SA only saw the 1.6 car .
The SA indicated that the price will be closed to Forte price but it is not finalized .
The spec will not be same as SG , i guess SD cut it down .

One more things , he said that the targeted launching day is in Aug , but will not later than Sept .

If any one is interested to place a booking. may be can PM  me, we can form  group  to have more power to negotiate with the SA
*
once u get more info on the pricing and spec, do include me in the loop
i only go for it if the price is right with the spec

1.6 around 100k and 1.8 below 120k???
price is not reasonable and i doubt that's the real pricing by Hyundai M'sia
1.8 should be around 100k (similar to forte pricing)

they are dragging the launch
nothing to shout about if it's till Sept 2011
by then, the Kia Optima may have come into M'sia market already
since Naza is quick in bring newer Kia models than SD Hyundai
Even the new Accent is nowhere to be heard sad.gif

best *family car* as reviewed by customersearch.com; as published in The Sun, today
too bad we are not getting the same engine as reviewed in m'sia
hopefully SD will not pull out much features to earn more profit

ah... *We’re speculating that two trim levels will be offered – Standard and High Spec*
more excuses for them to price it even higher
i hope they go for 100k - low spec and 110k for higher
finger crossed!!!

if naza bring optima by then, it will be a good fight!!! biggrin.gif

if SD didn't pull out those standard features (as what S'pore are getting), then the pricing will be nice
10xk for 1.8 engine but can match the rpm and power of 2.0
not forgetting the exterior aspect. i hope they put in HID for the light smile.gif

No paddle shift no dual clutch for sure.
It's CVT & can only manually shift with gear knob.

ah, they take out dual clutch?
mad.gif that's a standard spec for s'pore version
