QUOTE(tritonite @ Mar 12 2011, 08:38 PM) A trusted little SD bird told me... If going for Avante, 1.6 or 1.8? I think Forte 2.0 and Avante 1.8 are close competitorsAvante 2011 will be available here in Sept 2011, rather than June-July 2011 which is what a lot of people have been told or are assuming. Love the car, but unfortunately, I can't wait that long. |

QUOTE(cybertechmkteo @ Mar 28 2011, 02:24 PM) if without GDI then it would be only CVVT instead of dual. as MPI version do not have dual for Forte/Avante Thanks. If the Avante is same like Forte wo dual cvvt, then I think Forte is a better buy, well depending on Avante's price thoughAdded on March 28, 2011, 2:25 pm GDI spray the fuel directly with pressure of 150bar into the combustion chamber whereas current MPI mix the air and fuel before they being transfer down to the combustion chamber. |

QUOTE(bluedolphin @ May 11 2011, 12:10 PM) What i have been told was 1.6 with- 127HP (80K++) and 1.8 - 147 HP (100++ but <110K) , the SA only saw the 1.6 car . Any chance of the 1.8 <100k?The SA indicated that the price will be closed to Forte price but it is not finalized . The spec will not be same as SG , i guess SD cut it down . One more things , he said that the targeted launching day is in Aug , but will not later than Sept . If any one is interested to place a booking. may be can PM me, we can form group to have more power to negotiate with the SA |

QUOTE(FluidicSculpture @ Dec 8 2011, 10:14 PM) Extras that go with your car, and more, car no official pricing yet so we can't say out what are the extras, rest assured the 100 pre-launcher order will get more than those who book post-launch. no auto-cruise listed in th specsFor those who are curious about the key accessories/specs difference between 4 variant : ![]() |

Hopefully the 1.8 is <105k, otherwise will start thinking again which car to buy, Forte 2.0 will be a good replacement..

I agree with most people on max price for 1.8 is 105k. Resale value aside, the Japanese cars earned their worth through years of quality improvement, which is hard to be replaced by adding accessories.
