does it include local traffic or international traffic?? after reaching the cap, what would happen?? why is there a daily cap??if capping at peak periods i understand..but daily cap is unrealistic..frankly.

QUOTE(rogue @ Jul 1 2010, 10:32 AM) It's monthly cap not daily. When I mention 2GB per day for VIP5, that's to narrow down the picture so the CS lady understands why ppl say the cap is unrealistic. if so, its much better... ..though i have not yet subscribe since my area is only 2011..

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 1 2010, 10:34 AM) Ya, why must there be a cap? Even i didnt download anything, i am on 1mbps line, my daily usage can hit 3-5gb at least because there is 6 ppl sharing the line, everyone doing youtubing, ppstream, online games. And heck, i bought steam games, i need to download them, redownload them, 1 game is like 7gb, if capped, i cant even download a original game. hey..i have 30GB to dl..i just dont want to start it..so its hanging there..but i do support the cap.. QUOTE(rogue @ Jul 1 2010, 10:37 AM) To clear the air, initially when they launch Unifi, they impose the cap. Shortly after that ppl started to voice out about the unrealistic cap limit so from that point onwards the lifted the cap(Uncapped) till furthur notice from them. And yes there is definitely going to be a monthly cap. We just don't know what the limit will be. for now..if i download minimally...my house monthly usage is at 60GB and this includes my brothers endless anime downloads... ..i do hope it gets raised to 100GB..

QUOTE(powerfulcool @ Jul 1 2010, 10:49 AM) i knew about it when i plunged in i am against the low quota and am actively campaigning against it. but the "TM will one day have a cap" is a non-issue for me since we all knew they were going to do that anyway agreed...

QUOTE(sailou @ Jul 1 2010, 02:21 PM) Now this a total turnoff. At 10% it would be better off if we get a 4mb line. It doesn't make a good sense at all. if local is not counted..most problems can be solved..

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Jul 4 2010, 12:03 PM) Ah well, looks like I will give Unifi a pass unless there are better IPTV channels from them. TM please get all the good channels on your IPTV to compete with bloodsucking ASTRO. I want Scyfy channel! well..that might be a problem...i tried contacting TM for IPTV access requirements...no news..looks like its dead.. but i managed to get access on content purchasing department..

QUOTE(Polytechnic @ Jul 4 2010, 09:26 PM) why Tm did not even set up in johor they did..but it is limited to certain areas only.. QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jul 4 2010, 11:15 PM) I heard they're gonna start imposing the cap for download limit very soon? Is it true? that wat customer support has been saying..

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Jul 6 2010, 11:58 AM) What?? These channels are not free one??? RM149 bucks for 5mbps/5mbps ..... it does look a bit expensive now. Won't subscribe to Unifi for now, unless they can come out with more nice TV channels for subsription. how about paying for other IPTV operators??

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 6 2010, 01:58 PM) The day we have no contract for tmnut, is they day when we have actual competition >->; I'm surprised you bother asking that. most ISP even overseas have contracts....shorter but still a contract.. if TM does not have a contract, then i will be worried..

QUOTE(mox123 @ Jul 9 2010, 01:05 PM) Hi Guys, I would like to ask one question: As I know for apartment unifi installation, it is still using the existing copper line, not the fiber to modem, right? So, how is the speed/performance wise, are we still getting the same thing as Fiber to modem like those landed properties? in terms of speed/performance..u will be getting the same as the landed property albeit with a slight increase in latency...and the copper is only from the house to the small exchange that is servicing the building... so dont worry..

QUOTE(sil3ntHunt3r @ Jul 12 2010, 11:33 AM) I try to answer some of ur question: 1. My RG unit does not come with the stand. 2. From where did u download the files? The download speed is varying depend on the location of the server. 3. I still have my previous fix line. The unifi cs give u false information. Every house can have as many line as they want as long they pay the bill. MX510 have 2 fixed line in his house for his 2 x 4Mbps Streamyx account. 4. This one I'm not sure which u are referring. i think Kimie means the flaw rizvanrp found..the web management thing

QUOTE(farkinid @ Jul 13 2010, 08:51 AM) I heard that maxis already has fibre cables deployed around KL. The only thing stopping them from rolling out their own HSBB is the government. How true this is, I'm not sure. lol......and how much do u think the government can stop maxis....when the government was the one who asked Maxis to get listed back again... TIME is also the same...usually i think it is the reluctance or the lack of capability for the companies to invest RM12 billion on a project that might require them to fight with another company which have a bigger market share and resources than them.. on a side note.. realised that few days back..there was a company that placed a big cement block..and was pulling some fibre to it...now that cement block is sitting there...covered with a plastic sheet..

QUOTE(Neptern @ Jul 13 2010, 01:06 PM) I think maxis will be using its own fiber network and also tmnut's fiber network for hsbb. Rm100-150 for 100mbps?I know if i live in bolehland it will never happen... Hong Kong got 1Gbps....local only...international is 20Mbps... i am sure if TM does it this way...everyone will be happy..100Mbps local...20Mbps international..
