I'd like to share my experiences as well. I was once overweight, and I was so desperate to lose them because no one want to look at me, and when they look at me I can see them secretly laughing at me and my body weight with their eyes.

So I earned some money then I tried those slimming ads, LWM, Slimming Sanc, MF Bodyline, Cenosis. I even tried slimming pills like Duromine, hydroxycut, caffine pills, fat burners, etc all to no effect. In fact, I got worse because of the added stress place on my body by those so called "treatment". I spent more than RM10k on it.

In the end, I told myself that I have had it with these fake promises and "guarantees" of weight loss, and tried the proper way of losing weight which is good diet and exercise. I took out all the rice and carbs from my diet, eat protein, drink lots of milk and eat fruits everyday. I also bought myself a pair of posture-friendly Skechers. Jog 5 times a week for 12 months, and I've lost more than 15 kgs. It was tough at first, but now not only have nice body shape, but I am also much healthier.

For those who have overweight problems or is not satisfied with some parts of your body (normally is parts like tummy, hips, tigh etc.) can you please share your experience? Do you take any steps to improve yourself such as going to slimming centre. If yes, which slimming centre you go and is there any good result? how much you have spend to obtain the result?

desperate to know... TQ blush.gif

Something to share here.
I used to experience bad constipation years back. My mum got me Phyto Fiber and I have been taking that for about 5 years. Constipation reduced and I am taking it as supplement now.
Not a slimming product. But I managed to shed off 2-3 kilos in 2 years. Slow but healthy way.
I do sports everyday. Stop eating junk food but once awhile I do enjoy desserts.
Not to promote my Phyto Fiber but just as reference for those who are having constipation.
Remember, dont skip any meal. Skipping meal definitely not a healthy way to lose weight in long run.
Take care smile.gif

yup! i went through what you have gone through too.. except i didn't spend as much many as you because i didn't go to slimming centers.

i tried many things out there as well but to no avail. i even tried exercise but just can't stick with it. too lazy i guess.. the longest i could stick was 3 months.. that time i saw little results but then when i got lazy, i stopped here and there and the weight bounced back.

2 years ago.. i finally realized, i had enough of it. i watched the biggest losers and thought, if they are double my size who can do it, why can't i? from then on, i am very determined and started exercise. the first 10kgs are the easiest in my opinion.. in a few months .. as short as 6 months, i lost 10kgs.

then after that, i find it so hard to lose even 1 kg. lol.. and my weight has been maintaining until now.. sigh.. however, my dress sizes have gotten smaller.. every now and then i find the dress that i just bought 4-5 months ago are a bit loose.. however, the scale's number is still not dropping. lol.

so, i do agree that the old way of exercise and eat healthily is way to go.

I honestly believe all slimming centers are in fact scams, the consultants are trained to hard sell their products or packages.

I once bought a really cheap voucher from S2 slimming center which included a facial, massage and one slimming session. I'm not gonna go into the long details, but what happened was the consultant was extremely persuasive and will poison you with lies to get you to sign up. I was pretty sure she wouldn't let me out of the room until i put down a deposit. After refusing to sign up for the slimming package, she tried very hard to sell me the facial package instead.

This happened about a few years ago, when i was 18 in fact, I almost wanted to sign up for their expensive facial package, but thank god i had the sense to say no.

I think you can just google the reviews for slimming centres and you will get the truth.

no thank you. recently i weighed myself again and i finally drop another 2 kgs. finally able to beat off that 65 marks! i still believe the hard and old ways.. to eat healthier and to exercise. calories in and calories out. perhaps i will reach my desired goal later but sooner or later, i will be there.. through this way, i will be able to maintain and keep it off for years to come!

you are right! well, if people are super rich and can continuously invest into slimming center.. by all means.. go ahead. by the time they want to get to their desired shape.. they have already invested more than 100k.

slimming centers, beauty salons (facial).. you name it.. utterly persuasive..hardcore shall i say to make you sign up and when you finally don't want to, they will give you the lousiest service for the voucher you have bought.

i think they shouldn't do that.. they should give their best service to those ppl first (with voucher), then when they are satisfied, tell them about the package and etc... in that case, i believe consumer will feel more satisfy and perhaps will sign up. i mean how can they expect consumers to sign up their packages without trying it right?

alright.. even if they don't want to sign up after the trial.. at least they will remember their good service and when anyone asked them any beauty salon to recommend, they will always remember that good service. that's why.. due to their job is mainly based on commission, they become this hardcore in selling. sigh.. sad sad...

that's why i never ever go for facial or slimming center. luckily the hair salon i go to doesn't sell their stuffs this way.

Never take pills or starve yourself.
In fact, eat more vegetables, fresh and healthy food, less oily food.
More meals less portion.
Do power yoga, yoga helps to firm up your body, reduce fat and shape your body. If you haven't try yoga before, then I would recommend to try Hatha yoga first, after you're familiar with the poses, you may proceed to power yoga. This is because power yoga goes in a flow, meaning that if you don't have basics knowledge in yoga, you might not be able to follow the class and might not have enough stamina.

click into here to know about power yoga.

Ladies,

Breakfash = Eat oats / yogurt / fruit or nuts porridge

Lunch = Less rice + 1 chicken (No beef or any kind of red meat) + 1 vege / chicken salad sandwich

Dinner = Salad + 1 fish / Pasta + salad + tomato + tuna / lean turkey sandwich

Drink lots of water, 1 cup of coffee (black) is ok.

No nasi lemak / roti canai / KFCs / McD / FATs / FRIED STUFFS / etc

Remember to exercise and rest. Its tough but hey, if you're disciplined, you can achieve weight loss without diet pills / starvation.

I don't believe in slimming centres and diet products gimmicks.

I used to be an overweight kid in school. Used to weigh in 85kg++ The boys (and girls) constantly teased me. Then I decided to cut down on my food intake drastically. Did yoga, aerobic, kickboxing, etc with my brothers since young. I have been following my strict regime for more than 10years.

Now my weight is 54kg, my height is 174cm.

Good luck girls.

Thanks. It was not easy in the beginning. It takes a lot of hardwork and dedication to achieve it.
Once you set your targets / goals, please be discipline and do not cheat! tongue.gif (I confessed I cheat too sometimes)

Ladies, I strongly believe each and everyone of you can do it. Do not let people discourage you. Remember your loved one's support is the most important factor in doing all these things.

If I can do it, you can too. icon_rolleyes.gif
