Better wait for Samsung or SE to release their offering for Symbian 3. If its really open source.. should be pretty interesting. I for one do not believe this is going to last cos Symbian cost Nokia a lot of money. Are they really to hands out the goodies for free.
*
Its not free those company that uses nokia OS will have to pay a fee its like Samsung using WM and android of course there is a minor fee

Access to the full source code of an earlier release of the Symbian platform, Symbian^2, is still limited to member organisations, but membership is open to any organisation

Source from wiki

Think as this if they are one of the foundation member why is it limited to certain member organisations

Why pcsuite, ovisuite , SE tools , etc etc all using different?
Of course there is a minor thing involve thats not being said

o_O my bad, hahah, but even if nokia really pushes out gaming on the nokia n8, it still can't beat apple which has already in the game ages ago. The open gl 2.0 probably just gives nokia fanboy a nerdgasm and probably limited to rendering 2d menus and browsers.

Iphone is a joke. Until today only start to have multi tasking features. The first nokia smartphone can already multi task joke man. I sold off my iphone after 1 week of usage its too boring and too many limitation. Then from 5 or 10 ppl i know using iphone their postpaid bills can shoot up to RM500 to Rm600. U can turn off the phone data access from accessing 3G but after it will turn on of byitself except using 3rd party.

i'd say the phone is a joke, but their marketting is freaking good
*
Yea totally agree. Apple did a good job because all their softwares/games can be ported among different devices

I must say I am impressed with the camera and its video recording quality. However, I am also slightly disappointed with the size and resolution of the screen. I think the pixel density is just not on par with the other touchscreens. Im using samsung omnia II now and I have to say I love the screen so much. I'm not sure the lower pixel density in N8 will be obvious. I am currently eyeing this hp but the screen is the big turn off for me.Please feel free to enlighten me.

Wow the phone is not even out yet who knows? When its official launch only u can make such judgement

eh... dunno if this is posted or not, but theres a rumour we'll be seeing a physical qwerty version of n8. n98 if I'm not mistaken.Just like the c5 for 5800xm
*
that is a rumour for a long time even before they officially announce nokia N8. So we dont think it will come with physical keyboard. if yes this phone is just perfect
