A useful resource for anyone looking to play competitively would be Trackmania Exchange. You can search for the tracks usually by the time they are announced, and you can almost definitely find a REAAAALLYY fast replay there which will decrease your rollout time in terms of learning the track.

TEST TRACK SESSIONS!

Got a track you'd like to share? Send it over to strifemare@strifezone.net, and we'll put it into the rotation of our weekly Test track sessions server.

Here's how you can join us:
1. Click Play Online on the main menu
2. Click All on the connection menu, and select Malaysia
3. Search for TRUM Test Track Session server
4. Join in and have fun! XD

Usual time is at 8pm on Saturdays, but feel free to start a pickup session by calling on your fellow races, and just letting me know so I can get the server up.

Due to budget constraints and lack of local support, the organizers of both ESWC and WCG Malaysia have both tentatively dropped Trackmania from the games list. However, you can help bring it back! Just sign the petition here:

well cant really help regarding malaysia standing since we dont have really active drivers

there are not much active drivers in malaysia, some of them just play for a few months and they give up playing it.
there is only a few active drivers mainly all of them are at the top of the malaysia ladder board

btw, got some bad news, as you might see from my signature or on the TRUM site. both ESWC and WCG have dropped Trackmania for our National Finals, due to budget constraints.

After some negotiations though, what they need from us is the number of people interested in participating, and if it is a good enough amount, they will consider running the game at our National Finals, although the Trackmania players will not be sponsored to go for the Grand Finals.

So head on over to the TRUM site, register there, and also fill up the online petition that TPK set up.

Its important that you do both, as we also need to know about the number of registered members, for our online league which is being planned.

Hoe plays the paid version... I'll check it out when I get home kaz.

I dont think the free version lets you change your region. But you can change your car to the country you feel like representing

btw guys, don't forget tomorrow's session 7pm onwards, on the TRUM Test Track server.

we'll be featuring a couple of maps by T0MMY, a couple of ESL maps, and also WCG Classic, supposedly the most mindf****** map of the whole WCG selection.

they're currently doing some maintenance work, so hopefully it'll be back soon... still sucks though.

i saw your chat moots, should we go with more maps like that L-01 or Lemon? have a look around the tm-exchange and if you see anything that you like, give me the link and i'll put it up. i'm also guessing 25 mins for the easier maps is too long, unless you're a hardcore player. i originally set it to that so we'd have time to practice the ESWC or WCG maps. would 10 or 15 be better?

and also to everyone else, that ultra gila speedtech map was from our very own T0MMY... so now you know who to kill

if anyone else has made any maps that you'd like to showcase or torture people with, do pass it to me

will set up the server accordingly, now for you guys, your job is to test more tracks and tell me which ones you want

i'll get more ESL race tracks to add them, they have a nice intermediate difficulty level, compared to them hardcore maps.

well those hardcore maps are ok for hardcore players
but for those peeps who just enter the server looking for lols and first time players
they will ragequit early

Put anything. Will only ragequit if I play alone lol.

anyways fellas, don't forget we'll be having another test track session tomorrow, which will have the tweaked settings from our previous attempts. and less torture tracks or maybe just one......muahahaha

I think the tracks would be less agonizing if the time spent on a single track was much shorter.
I would suggest 5 mins on each track unless the track is too long of course. Since most tracks out there are within the 30-60 secs duration,
I think 5 mins would lessen the chance of people becoming stressed out or rage quitting

sorry guys, i know its no excuse, but RL has been keeping me away from gaming recently. havent even played a decent game of trackmania for around 3 weeks! >,<

anyways, i'm working on an online tourney which should hopefully materialize by the end of July, of course you'll have news of it way before that. prizes and stuff are in the works.

other than that, i'm hoping to start some "sekolah memandu" style articles on the site, anyone willing to donate their extensive experience on racing ? some basic "how to" take corners and stuff, in your own experience, maybe a few screenshots, and then prepare for flames hahahahaha.
