ok here is what i've done to flash.

1. turn off.

2. hold U key and plug USB cable until can see NOKIA logo and USB logo at top right and then release U key.

3. goto run> and type cmd. then type cd\program files\maemo\flasher-3.5. done

4. type flasher-3.5 -F <ur BIN name> -f (no -R, as forumer suggest)

5. once finished, immediately take plug out USB cable and turn off n900.

6. repeat step 4 only change vanilla BIN name, but with -R in the end.

7.auto-reboot. then i still got infinite reboot loop.

what is wrong with my step?
*
my n900 never turn ON after the flash in step 5. as people say you must not boot your n900 between firmware flash and emmc flash.

I dun u get it does it mean we no need to press the and hold the "U"  ?
*
i guess the U button is to prevent pc from detecting the eMMC drive. just press U for 'official way'. im just sharing my experience

1.1.1 to 1.2 got difference. The useful and important is USSD, Option for Video Call, Option for "Display SMS only for Mobile Numbers", OFFICIAL Facebook Chat plugin, updated OVI Map, ability to re-arrange your programs (no more MORE menu), Email widget, Qt4.6 available by default, better App Manager "Update ALL", more rootfs space!!! etc.

1.2 leaked and 1.2 Official.
Honestly, I can't find any difference. Take so long to release. Rubbish!
Bugs in 1.2 leaked still in 1.2 Official. Why take so long to release?

Honestly speaking, it's really disappointing what Nokia did to the N900 users.... they're not paying attention and putting enough effort/support to this product.
If there is no community support, this phone could've died easily,... many apps, features lacking in the N900 is provided by the community (e.g. MMS, contacts plugins, widgets, etc). And after so long, Nokia still can't update the N900 properly, even the community has provided so many of it, such as MMS. Nokia should've incorporate it into N900 by NOW, or earlier. They took so long, only able to provide Facebook Chat plugin? The community has provided so many plugins long ago.... USSD only available officially in PR1.2 which took ages to come.
What is Nokia doing honestly? MeeGo MeeGo MeeGO! And no official MeeGO for N900.
Can't they concentrate and update N900 OS properly at least.

the no-meego-shit piss me off

I seen "Internal error. Application xxx closed" sometimes, applications like contacts, conversation. After searching maemo forum, this seems to be an issue to new 1.2 firmware.

mates' for some reason, after going to PR1.2 , i reimported my contacts. But in conversation, when i typed a message, and i tap TO to add contacts, there is not contacts, but in my contacts , there it was. all of them.

I tried restarting, no avail. I'm stuck =.=
