QUOTE(ahtiven @ May 18 2010, 12:25 PM) @kfthoo for Yahoo, dont create in a separate mailbox. it will give that particular name/passwd error. not sure why though. try this settings. Email > New account Region: Malaysia Service Provider: Nokia Messaging Email: <Your Yahoo mail add> Password: <Your Yahoo mail passwd> then you will be able to look for your Yahoo mail add in Nokia Messaging. having used blackberry before, i will definitely not paying for nokia so-called push email system unless they improve. lol free trial then i will continue using. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ May 18 2010, 12:49 PM) thanks guys....it's working... |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ May 19 2010, 09:50 AM) Summary for Emacs install: hi...eiraku, i've follow ur steps but dunno how to remap the keyboard... the command wget http://sumoudou....rx-51.qole how to use?? when key in using the x terminal...it says sh wget not found.1. Download the given debs. 2. Make sure you have rootsh installed from extras-devel. 3. Install using terminal (paste the given codes enough) 4. Install TTF-Droid font package 5. Remap your keyboard to include the keys ESC, / and TAB (a bit hard, but doable). 6. Create an .emacs file in /home/user/ , paste the required things in. 7. ... 8. Profit. Use Emacs for Chinese input, cut, paste into conversations, send. This post has been edited by kfthoo: May 19 2010, 02:22 PM |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ May 19 2010, 05:02 PM) Great to hear, play around with the .emacs settings until you get the screen settings right and you'll be all set. i dunno anything about gnu...when i tried to install the emacs....just guess guess only....for the gnu wget...i also try to use the apt-get -f install command, lucky me, it worked.I also can use ctrl-x ret ctrl-fn-b... Much easier then ctrl-x ret ctrl-shift-space. Funny, couldn't do it before... Maybe I can map shift+space to something else now, launch xterm maybe. really happy when it is working right now....only left maximize the emacs on n900 screen now....still reading the instruction. anyway thanks for the guidance... |

@ eiraku : i really no idea what to do with this...can u help me?
1. Download http://sumoudou.org/elisp/maxframe/maxframe.el 2. Add the following text to /home/user/.emacs: (add-to-list 'load-path "/path/to/maxframe") ;; for instance (add-to-list 'load-path "~/elisp/maxframe") (require 'maxframe) (add-hook 'window-setup-hook 'maximize-frame t) (maximize-frame) |

android was written and designed as a smart phone os from ground up...so it should perform as a very capable phone with a lots of enhancement....that make them 'smart'....but in n900 case, it ancestor i.e. n7xx, n8xx was originally designed as mobile internet device and then nokia pop up an idea..."why don't we make the mid with basic phone function so that the user no need to carry an extra phone in their pocket....." then the n900 is born...and we fall for it....and now we r waiting for the legendary pr1.2....to make the n900 more like a phone than a mid...

QUOTE(scavenger_9 @ May 21 2010, 07:09 PM) Just wanna ask, n900 can display chinese character natively...however, there is no "official" chinese input support yet for the time being even for the leak pr1.2 except those lucky ppl in hong kong/taiwan....I have the leaked pr 1.2 . Does the leaked pr1.2 support chinese language/character? Asking on behalf on my friend. Does it? |
