Are they widening the Sg Long access road? Seen some project going on in front of Petronas / Taman Rakan.
The Silk Highway behind Bukit Sg Long also got things going - the contractor block the right lane of the highway towards Twin Palm  hmm.gif
*
looks like making a proper space for the bus stop? I also donno if they are widening the road or not but few months ago i saw two officers (or workers) sitting in front of petronas station observing the traffic and start making notes or plotting statistic i donno. Hope there will be some improvements in future and also the condition of the road too.

Have project board mention will install traffic light.

I rather local council install traffic light at Mahkota in front shell station.
*
yea, that's the dangerous part that they need to quickly do something. Sometimes 2 lanes try to turn right i still can accept. But some buggers nowadays trying to be creative and created the 3rd lanes!

QUOTE(MyDevil @ Apr 3 2014, 08:22 AM)
Another traffic light will make the jam worst for those coming out from Sg Long and Mahkota.
*
I think petlu meant the junction in front of the shell and petronas at BMC. That area seriously need a traffic light.

QUOTE(greenmoon @ Apr 3 2014, 08:41 AM)
yesterday, the traffic light at persiaran mahkota cheras was break down, the traffic was so smooth

That's always the case! hahaha ... laugh.gif

Thats too much le ... 3 lane wor.
*
yes ... too much right? I usually go straight and make a u-turn at the traffic light in front or turn right then make a u-turn again at the AEON there. I don see the point of queuing there ... biggrin.gif

relax bro ... give the positive energy flow and hope things will become better in future.

QUOTE(MyDevil @ Apr 9 2014, 08:08 AM)
Ya, the bump already slow down the traffic.  I just hope they can build an access road to silk highway instead of need to u turn at Twin Palm there to get to the Mines. Or better still, built another road to Bukit Sg Long.
*
A lot of ppl is "hoping" that to happen ... hahaa ... but when? unsure.gif

QUOTE(greenmoon @ Apr 9 2014, 08:13 AM)
this one have to "slow slow wait"
early this week, the newspaper reported that SILK and Government had refused the suggestion

Do you know what should do before start?
*
actually my house the previous owner did paint some clear thingy on top of the red bricks. I find it ugly and too shinny... after some times, the shinny feel now looks like "oily" surface. if wanna retain the red brick look, then i don really suggest to use the glossy paint ... just my personal opinion smile.gif

not the first time implementation. See how long it'll last before it was decom again.
I would say traffic will be backup until the sg long school area like last time when the traffic light was in place at that same area.
Imagine the speed bump + traffic light now . It will anger all the user in sg long
*
omg ... i will hire someone to secretly remove the traffic light at night when it's ready ...

QUOTE(Maneki-neko @ May 5 2014, 04:57 PM)
Guess sg Long needs a new access road link directly to the township, like the newly proposed access road for Eco Hill in Semenyih... shocking.gif

Taikors

How is the traffic from the Persiaran Mahkota Cheras 1 exiting to the Cheras-Kajang Highway? How long will ones be caught queuing along the Persiaran Mahkota Cheras 1 before turning into Cheras-Kajang Highway?
During morning peak hour, what is the best time to leave home in the morning and let say to reach KL town around 8.15 am?

Which is the better route to work in the morning i.e. Cheras-Kajang Highway to East West Link Expressway to KL or Cheras-Kajang Highway to Jalan Loke Yew to KL ?

During the peak morning hour, can i safely estimate that it will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach KL town ?

Greatly appreciate any inputs.. Thanks
*
wah ... away for a week and there are so many conversation going on already smile.gif

Bro, i can't give u any good advice as i don't use the BMC access road. But i can share with you my personal experience (last week). I had training at JW Marriott KL and i used waze to route the traffic. Out of the 4 days training, waze asked me to use Jalan Cheras and only 1 day it asked me to use connaught. And i damn regret using that road. Use Jalan Cheras exit Jalan Tun Razak after Viva Home is so much faster ... It took me about 40 mins to reach JW Marriott KL. I went out around 7:30am from Sg Long and reached JW Marriott KL around 8:10am. Cheers

Thanks Bro for your inputs. The 40 mins for you to reach JW Marriott KL is based during school holidays (which start from 28 May 2014) ??? If that the case, how long does it take to reach KL centre during NON-school holidays??? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

Thanks

Since the traffic light operating this morning i notice Actually there is not much cars in / out from rakan
They should make it shorter green light timing for rakan
16th june will be acid test . This week still school holiday
*
the problem is they fix the sensor i think. So whenever there are cars waiting to come out from taman rakan, we got to stop as they will be green light. But they never thought that stop start at the slope is actually wasting time and not many car will accelerate when the light turn green. icon_question.gif
