Overheard at the gym:
Trainer: You know how to use dumbbell? Client: Can can. Trainer then shows client how to do one-arm rows. Trainer: Ah, you are wrong. You have bad form. That's why you must do machine first. Machines are better for isolation. Machines should be done first because you have no balance therefore do machines first. Client: Ok let's go.
Said trainer was about as built as my 14-year-old cousin. My female cousin. Who has bigger, toned calves than him.
The things you hear in the gym...

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jun 14 2010, 11:46 AM) Heh. I just ignore what people do in the gym. You guys are observant sial. Well, it's not hard to not be observant, especially if you see the same people doing their shtick day in, day out. There's this dude who keeps doing the same partial reps of partial reps of everything for 2 years now. Impressive chest and abs but zero everything else.

QUOTE(FirstOne @ Jun 14 2010, 03:40 PM) Yeah, the one I saw is like doing the bicep curl everyday, and still he got impressive upper body @.@ What's the point of having an impressive upper body when you've got a depressive lower body?

QUOTE(gtoforce @ Jun 15 2010, 02:56 PM) i always believe that if one has no input in bb'ing, to actually correct another person's routine is a big sin in a gym +1 Routines are personal. While it's acceptable to correct someone's form if he/she is doing it wrongly, but to go up to them and say, "hey! your routine sucks!" warrants a right smack on the face. With a 20kg dumbbell.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jun 23 2010, 02:37 AM) Do what I do. =) It's effective as hell bro. Heh trust me, legs should never be with another bodypart on a single body split workout. By the time you're done with legs, you're f***ed. No energy to do shoulders. Anyway time to hit the sack. Catch up with y'all tomorrow. Skipping the World Cup matches for today. I trained legs with shoulders once . See, I bold the once cos it only happened, once. On semi-related note, France is out!

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jun 24 2010, 12:55 AM) I don't understand how come bodybuilders and powerlifters can lift through heavy metal music. All the screaming and shouting. Zzz... I know it works for some but the noise is way too distracting. Cos if it works for the Devil, then it works for me. Mini Demon. That was, of course, DOMS speaking, not me. Man, I hate darn good shoulder workout today. Seriously though, besides metal, music played in commercial gyms just annoy me to high heaven but it makes me focus even harder on training.

QUOTE(angrydog @ Jul 15 2010, 03:40 PM) SO IS ANYONE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN COMING OUT TO RAKUZEN ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE BUFFET? ME! Actually, I've planned on going there quite a while back. The sashimi are a-calling and I'll be a-eating. So if you guys are coming, holler at me, aye? I'm the small guy with Lacoste shoes (I've already planned on footwear, how awesome is that!?).

QUOTE(bodybuilder @ Jul 16 2010, 02:43 PM) is it a MUST/necessary to wear a gym belt (leather or nylon? ) when doing squat and doing back, shoulder exercise? I already got my back hurt while squating...sit also pain..damn NO, it's not a must to wear a belt. You already have an internal belt. It's called your waist. Wear it if you're lifting crazy ass loads of weights, though. How much did you squat anyway? Also, you must have done it with poor form. I've been there and done that shtick a few times so I know how you feel. PS: Your screen name just cracked me up. So did mine. LOL.

"She" does a very convincing impersonation of a dude so much so that "she" even has facial hair. Heck, "she's" is more of a he than most of us here.
Anyway, awesome traps.

Keep quiet and give him more WTF looks. Him being near obese and saying crap like that will be your inspiration to not be like him.

Darn, I reckoned Kai would have gotten second at the very least. I mean, the hype was ginormous. Oh well, he went for mass but lost his crazy details we all know. But good to see Phil Heath getting the runner's up spot. Congrats to the winner: Jay clearly won based on the strength of his mass and phenomenal legs.
