Hi guys, actually in Malaysia does SOHO really means you can work and live inside the property just like a normal condo/apartment? I notice a lot of property put up the tag SOHO, but in actuality is 'office', which means they will lock up the place or the whole property is actually just an office block.

SOHO has bathroom/shower, wet kitchen while Office, office suite, SOFO, SOVO dun have.

you can chose to live in SOHO but not the others

most normal office do not include facilities eg pools, gym, game room etc but SOHO, SOFO does.

condo/apartment /normal office usually bigger build up and higher monthly maintenance fee..

it is all up to individual preferences...

I'm looking at SOHO props coz I dig the loft style open space where one can set up a work space and reserve a small space for sleep.
I've this conception that SOHO, at the base, is residential, just that the design of the property is more suitable if one want's to set up a small work place for freelance works. e.g. Subang Soho.

But the other day I called up on Prima Avenue Soho, they said it's actually office, which means in actuality it's base is in office, and well, you can't 'live' there.

Hence the confusion of the term SOHO. If soho is used just to describe the facilities provided as lucerne said, then whether the property can be 'lived in', will depend on how the developer allows it, right?

Now is confirm cannot live there and is office suite, and I thought I could get a property like that. doh.gif

You guys know any other props around kv that sports similar concept? Like subang soho type where there's open space and a half second floor, or duplex type. Or something like Zetapark Zen Suites?

Malaysia property all the same type either condo/apartment or terrace/banglow/townhouse. Hope got daring developer to come up with those loft type houses. drool.gif

Flippin' houses like flippin' burgers. Sincere people who wanna buy a house and just wanna have a place of their own suffer.

Any other Soho's (residential) that I should keep an eye on?

Currently these are the Soho's that i know:
Subang Soho
Axis Sohu
Scott's Soho
Centrio Soho

All prices are speculated and spiraling out of control, anyone wants to add to the list?
