tell us strikers that you think is as good as the A-list striker(Rooney, drogba, torres, tevez, etc) but doesn't get as much attention as them

bpl,spl,serie a,ligue 1,eredivisie,bundesliga,all are count

for me,it's going to be

1-bobby zamora:i think he is at par with tevez.and he should accompany Rooney in WC instead of heskey
2-bendtner-he's an unpolished striker but he is hardworking and can produce many good assists
3-berbatov-well...............i like him.his skill is great(like those you saw in la liga),but his ...umm,"effortless" style of play really drive Man Utd fans(including me) crazy

Why only EPL strikers are being mentioned? What about la liga? I think freddie kanoute of sevilla is a good striker (although his age is 32)..currently being overshadowed by luis fabiano..

any major european league is count

since one mentioned about la liga,i think raul and henry isn't being utilized to their maximum(everyone is giving the limelight to CR,kaka and messi)

i thought he was bought as a first team striker to tag a long with rooney,
maybe i got it wrong,but to buy a 30m guy and consider him a 2nd striker,uhhh  unsure.gif ....

he is good as a centre forward as well.but he(for no apparent reason) doesn't move as much as rooney(even owen),and that's why Manchenster United fans have problems with him.his pace really affected the offensive side of Manchester united as a whole

but yeah he is best deployed as a second striker,Sir Alex problably doesn't do that because Micheal Owen is in injury and he doesn't want to risk another senior striker being injured(currently Sir Alex usually deployed 4-3-3 formation with rooney/berba being the spearhead to Manchester United attack).berba is best deployed behind rooney in 4-4-1-1 formation

he score more than ronaldo this season in rm...defitinely one of underrated striker..
*
it's his job to score goals since he is the centre forward in real madrid

ronaldo is deployed as a winger ever since he plays in real madrid.so one of his job is to pass the ball to higuain in penalty box

but yeah higuain is under-rated.but i think it is because of his style of play(his style isn't as pretty as kaka or ronaldo).i think he has better future in english clubs(where goals is more important than they way it is scored)

btw ronaldinho got to be the single biggest underrated striker i can think of

he has become fit(almost) since he joins AC milan but dunga don't even consider him into brazillian WC team

he's just 2 years older than kaka and there's older footballers than him in dunga's team

underate can measure by :

1. player who doing very well in the team but unfortunately he got overshadowed by other player in the team

example 1 : rooney doing good last season but he is shadowed by ronaldo last season
example 2 : kuyt very impressive last season but player like gerrard/torres shadowing him

2. player who doing a good job but unfortunately he had low profile played in low end team or even didnt get 1st team chance in big team
example 1: falcao
example 2: podolski
*
just want to add

3-player who doing a good job but not being for world cup for no apparent reason
example 1: ronaldinho
example 2: bobby zamora
