After searching about AVR, I still not that clear what is AVR...   blush.gif  I'm a noob in this audio stuff...

What's the difference between AVR and amplifier? Looks the same to me...

This AVR seems like alot more expensive than amplifier... I thought I can get something more cheaper and simpler than amplifier...  hmm.gif

Previously I survey some of the amplifier cap ayam is like RM100-RM300 only...  tongue.gif

A cheapo here..  blush.gif

the different is ( i assume u compare with integrated amp) :

AVR has multichannel amp (5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1), int amp only 2.0 (stereo)
AVR has sound processor (DSP, multichannel format decoding), int amp dont have
AVR can act as video switching also (some AVR has video processing), int dont have

but if u compare sound quality (stereo) integrated amp is better than AVR (at same price) icon_rolleyes.gif
