Can give us more details? Eg, which server u tried connecting to, which modem r u using? Running behind a 3rd party firewall? What's ur tcp/udp ports like..

after i try to use XPmule than change back to emule, now my download speed not fast like before...how come will be this?? i also use port forwading...

I'm really out of ideas.
I have already spent a few nites reading those help from forums still cannot get highid.
I'm using Aztech DSL600E modem connected to Linksys WRT54GS.
I tried alot of ports but still the same thing.
The ports i'm trying now is TCP 27015 and UDP 27115.
both already fowarded in my xp firewall and router. din use any 3rd party firewall. I also tried disabling my xp firewall, same thing.
the server i'm trying to connect to is Donkey Server No2. I did try others, same thing.
pulling my hair now.

There are lots of MODs out there, so I'm not really know what's wrong with your XPmule. For new user, the official version is the best to try and learnt, it can handle all the jobs well. Only after that you can choose to stick with it, or some function you missed, so you can try to use or search in MODs.

If you have done all the settings I mentioned above, then nothing you need to worry bout (spoiler: atleast for now, before the nutz stock in some new machine), download is just a matter of time. Some reasons it will affects your download: credit, QR (queue ranking), availability of sources, LowID, fakeservers, upload set too high.. ..

While to know your eMule izzit running fine, we need to judge on it upload. Yeap, not download.. Upload should always stay at the max, according to the upload limit you have sets. So you will see a straight red line in the upload graf under eMule>Statistic.

EDIT: there's no fastest MODs or settings, only the one that suits your style. Don't judge your eMule by 5 or 10 minutes, leave it for atleast 2 hours, to see how it goes.

Any proxy you sets in eMule before? How bout Protocol Obfuscation, do you enable it?

From what I have read at the eMule forum, there are 3 "different" DonkeyServers now, you need to take a deep look into it's IP. DonkeyServer No2: 62.241.53.16 is the only real one..

For your information, I can't see anything wrong. But getting LowID, mean you're "firewalled", nothing much. Could it be you forwarded the wrong IP? I mean your internal IP.

at last solve liao my problem,
I set my comp ip to fixed ip the ok liao.
very strange, the dhcp ip n the fixed ip is both forwarded in my router yet only the fixed ip can get highid.

Ya as simple as that, u'll need to have a fixed ip and not a dynamic one for proper forwarding.

i'm scratching my head on how to configure Riger DB102 modem/router for portforwarding...haih.

Hmm something's weird is happening to my eMule 0.47c. Started pretty recent though.

I have high ID on both KAD and eD2K but I always have 0 source when trying to download.

I tried searching for something really common and it showed like 300+ sources after doing a search. But when I try to download it it shows 0 source at the transfer tab.

Any ideas what's up with my eMule?

hye all...i have this problem, wonder how it happens

i just reformated my system 2 days ago, after install essential installer here and there, i discovered my network properties looks like being in traffic quite heavy since my internet surfing and gaming also affected (keeps disconnecting), i wonder why...at first i thought its my Karspesky 6.0, so i paused -- not work, i even stop it -- same result, so...with Windows Defender, i found emule program is in using with hundreds IPs connected through my system...now i found who's the culprit, the question is, how in the hell the e-mule program run on my system and the directory sat at C:\Windows\System32\dlg & C:\Windows\System32\dlgincoming...after disable and delete this file..., such a relief now...the thing is, i wonder how could this happen? is it considered as spyware/adware? lucky me, i found Windows Defender here

Hi mate, the official emule contains no adware. However, I do not know if there is with the modded ones (lots of them around). R u using the official or modded emule?

Having said that, I've tried a couple of mods and found that they have no adware or spyware either. Not sure of the others though.

no..., i even don't installed the application for first place ok...i'm just wondering, how in the hell it could on my PC, in my system directory some more..., must be somekind haxor did it i think , but now the problem solved after i manually deleted the file and folder plus the registry file found at registry editor
