personally i want to see what happen to Lelouch but then again the tittle mention it a side story.. slim chances there will anything regarding Lelocuh or CC or anyone in the main character, if not it will be a little disappointment for me who waited so long for a sequel or something like it

Sunrise like to create tension by posting little little news But from what it see, slim chance it a direct sequel to R2.. if not they would name it R3 already rather than a new fancy name

But the OVA can be a sequel right? It definitely takes place after Lelouch's death since Nunally, Kallen they all are in it. If so, I'm not very excited about it since Lelouch won't be there anymore. And why didn't I see CC and Suzaku in those pictures?
Have more interest in Renya's story. He might be as good as or better than Lelouch.
The January issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine is announcing on Thursday that Tomomasa Takuma (Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, Kurogane Communication) is drawing a manga that is tentatively titled Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya (Code Geass: Jet-Black Renya or Code Geass: Renya of the Blackness) next year. Goro Taniguchi, the director and story co-creator of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series, created the new manga's story concepts and is scripting the story. This is the first manga that Taniguchi is directly scripting himself. The story takes place in the same official Code Geass history as the anime, but in a different era. The title character, Renya, is a 17-year-old boy with a mechanical left arm and shuriken throwing stars as his weapons of choice. The story begins when Renya encounters a mysterious, perpetually young witch named "Reifū C.C." C.C. has appeared in Japan's historical Edo era to seek a new partner for a covenant. Meanwhile, a mysterious man, with a striking resemblance to the character Lelouch of the original anime, also appears with unknown intentions. The new manga is part of next year's new Code Geass project launch. Code Geass producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi revealed on the franchise's website that the new project will feature the simultaneous releases of serialized comics, music, new products under development, and visual works.

since it new Code Geass stated in 2017... it mean it a year before lelouch finally finish his rebellion or better to say lelouch is still ZERO chances are it about the story of war between Britannia VS EU, while lelouch is at Japan front, this new Code Geass will discuss at the EU front, i presume
if this one around 2017 means around the first season rite?

Finally, the producers are ready to announce the most-expected series this year, Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito (コードギアス 亡国のアキト). The announcement will come on January 12 on Bandai Namco TV, and information regarding cast staff, airing date and media will be revealed. We firstly reported the announcement of the series back in two years ago and during which period, rumors, rumors and rumors and finally, we are pretty close now. At the same time, we see changes on the official website as well indicating the wait is over.
From the above scan, we are now sure that the series will be coming this year, no more waiting. And for the story, as mentioned before, will be happend during the same period as Code Geass.
The official website for the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled anime project announced on Friday that the anime will open in theaters on August 4. The announcement does not specify how much of the anime project will be screened on that day.
Singer Ichiko Hashimoto had posted in March that the project will be composed of four 50-minute episodes, with an episode screened in theaters and released on home video every three months. However, this information has since been edited out of Hashimoto's post.

lol, never underestimate the power of greedy anime producer. it can even bring back the dead. usually, i dont mind a sequel, or different story with same franchise, but dont screw it up pls. blood-c already make me sleepless with its horrible everything. had to rewatch the original to cleanse my brain. anyway i hope this one willl also has great storyline and character. anything else i can bear

Lelouch wasnt poses that kind of miracle but he can control people mind... macam pukau lah. Same goes to his fake brother rolo, at the end, he dead.
why do you even need CG:R3? IMO it should be left at R2. The ending is good already. Those not happy Lelouch alive(atm) can just write their own story.
oi oi, dun spoil for me. i got 5 more ep to finish r2..... it is one of the best anime for me with turn-around, quite complex n engaging story. really love it.

Really?? Well, that is not impossible thought, who know his father want to do what. What I curious is, why Suzaku keep silent all the time, and the one like Lelouch act like a crazy people

not really interested in mechanical arm... sounds like FMA...
the continue series of CODE GEASS is coming out.This will be an exciting wait for the show.
