Yea... Thats why I bought the SE846. To me the sound of the SE846 is revolutionary compared to the IE800 which sounds to me to be very very normal. Kinda reminded me of the old UE700. No bass no mids just super clarity. 

This excerpt from Earphone Solution kind of sums up what I feel about both the earphones, and no, I did not read this before I heard them both, I heard then both and then read this and coulnd't agree more with what has been said.
