Hi, all pro dai kor. I am actually at the middle of airbrushing my gunpla and i hope anyone can help me on this.

I am doing a hi nu gundam blue. A bit of whitish blue.

Actually its my first time using airbrush. And I went to shop ystd and that guy recommend me use Mr. Base White 1000 on the first layer for the whitish blue part before apply the (blue mix white) paint on it.

So, the question is, when i put on this Mr Base White, does that part (originally whitish blue in color) need to be totally white. or just slightly white will do? coz i am air brushing now and it kinda thick if it need the part to be total white.

or izzit because the ratio of my mixture is wrong?

thanks~ what is the ideal mixture ratio of base white color and the thinner? my airbrush keep on got block~

ok, another question. Let says i have a piece that has two different colors to be airbrush. izzit ok to mask the the first painted area or i need to topcoat it before mask?

Ok, here I am again. I got a pretty long post this time.
Mostly on wad i encounter during my MC Hi Nu WIP.

1. Air brushing problem:
just wanna get some idea from pro here, did u guys actually airbrush part of the same color first or airbrush follow the sequence of the work.
etc start by head, hand, body and so on.
Coz currently, i am doing by same color and it really not motivating me to continue doing.

I only has one air brush gun and everytime i change color. I need to wash up my tools wif thinner. And if i leave the gun too long, it will get stuck.

2. Masking problem
There is a few part that required masking coz got different color. And mayb coz my masking skill not that good and the shape is quite complicated. Some of the part near the edge did not get brush. just a bit like 1mm width. So izzit my skill problem or did u guys actually touch up those area using hand paint?

3.panel lining
Izzit ok if i panel line before top coat?

I am familiar with normal air brush, never try chrome color before. Any sifu can teach how to do those metallic airbrush?

Found some "magic powder" on hobby shop. what is the function of those?

how bout those metallic color customization that is posted in gundamguy blog.
I wanna do something like that with my Nu Ver kat~
